Yes! I know exactly what you mean. I was in Sephora chillin', and I couldn't help but eavesdrop on these young girls' conversation. The way they talked about their lives reminded me of grown ass women. It was interesting the way they described their friends. I always thought I was pretty much born with a blazer and a laptop...but these girls didn't just sound older....they sounded detached, sick and tired.... How did this happen? I thought young people usually made older people feel even OLDER...😅 And WHERE are these children getting $60 for color corrective foundation?! LOL...Not trying to be a hater...ijs👀

The problem is that U.S. women have an impossible choice to make. The wealthy have depleted the middle class, so if a lady wants to have a child, she will have to do all of the reproduction and work outside of the home if she partners with the average man. There is so much biologically that falls on the mom that her male partner can’t contribute to. The main way they can contribute is financially but most can’t provide and will even make her life harder in other ways. For this reason more women invest in attracting a wealthy spouse who can at least assure that she only has to work within the home, or has assistance from hired help. The workload of most mothers is hardly sustainable. Many are opting out of motherhood entirely.

i myself 100% believed Kylie when she initially said she did not get lip injections. I'm the same age as Kylie, maybe that plays into it, but I didn't know back then what surgery and injections looked like. Also, because we were both 17 years old I thought it was ludicrous to suggest that her parents would allow her to do something like that. I was just very naive about the whole thing.

Bless your heart, makes a lot of sense myself and a friend we’re both in the makeup/ beauty industry like on the side of education and we had a eureka moment once and realised it was absolutely know way a case of just lip liner and her over-lining her lips because it didn’t make sense in a practical way I had my natural born black lips and people would say that they want me to give them "the kylie Jenner lip look" that apparently I was rocking in there minds and there was only so much over-lining and lip contouring with high level playing with shades to create the look on less fuller lips without making my clients look clownish 😂

For those who are confused, the black pill is basically genetic determinism with a focus on looks, the premise is that the things you can change about your looks are the minority while the things you cannot change are the majority, this is important because things that are valuable to us in life like a job, grades or attraction and treatment from others are influenced by our looks, it even gets into other walks of life like athletics, iq and mental health

29:54 I’ve had a tummy tuck no lipo. It was 13 years after my last child. After getting to my ideal size and staying there for years and still having very loose skin on my stomach. I decided to do it. I’m 5 ft tall and I had a 9 lb baby. Before children, I had a 6 pack. I love it. I was single before and after it. My stomach looked like chitterlings. It was flat. But extra skin just sitting there and I wanted my stomach back to somewhat normal. It was over 9k in the US. I researched my doctor and saw some of his patients irl. I’m very happy with my decision.

Salaam. I have to go back to hear the start of the show. However, from what I did hear, I thoroughly enjoyed and agreed. The topic also reminded me of a job I worked on, and I was training a young lady from Ethopia, who was indeed a very pretty girl however the Black Men on the job went over the top bonkers in their admiration of her. Really really over the top bonkers ....all except one guy who did the exact opposite. He acted as if she wasn't there. One day, that happened to be this young lady's day off a conversation came about about her in which the guy that was ignoring her said... "The ONLY reason you guys are falling all over her is because she looks different than what you are used to seeing here. In her country, she'd be considered a very ordinary, if not below average looking Woman!" Turns out he had stayed in Ethiopia for over two years. So indeed whats stunningly gorgeous in one society or culture may just "eh" in others!

Themis I have to disagree with you on Kylie and sisters not creating the beauty standards. I’m close in age to Kylie and I grew up in Australia during her rise. Black features such as big lips and big behind were not the beauty standards here before the Kardashians. By Kylie and sisters emulating American black beauty, she brought those standards to the white community and to the rest of us globally. “Fat ass” was still a common insult the entire time I was in highschool.

He wasn’t growing up a girl in that era.. being scrutinised for our natural features and experimenting with our looks to fit the beauty standard and avoid being picked on so he kinda only missed that tiny bit of nuance you are right I used to literally have a way of making my bottom lip look smaller in my teens by sucking it in a bit and did it constantly because it was the only thing that was a "large facial feature" that could be picked on .. getting literally pointed at being called "drop lip" was something I could not socially experience I saw it happen to girls more but also guys in school then they made it trendy and everyone would complement my natural lips and assume / ask me & even vocally gass me up like "wow girl you got that Kylie look I see you and your makeup skills gworlie"

@@ProfNDKai right. He’s usually spot on but our lived experience being younger during her rise was totally different. In regards to the lip fillers, did you honestly know that she got lip fillers? Because I didn’t know a thing about plastic surgery. Plastic surgery still isn’t even readily available in Australia. They were the ones that introduced laser hair removal to us as well.

It became popular in the white community because of white people's ingrained racism. A white woman called it first person syndrome. She said that white people are raised to believe that they are better than blacks, so anything that black people get celebrated for, white people automatically feel as though they are supposed to be the ones to receive that attention and that you guys do whatever is necessary to "compete" to take that attention for yourselves. This made so much sense to me, because white people love the black aesthetic, but only on other whites. We are criticized, which I now know is jealousy, for things that you guys celebrate when you do them. Black women were called donkeys for having big butts, we ARE called ghetto for wearing long nails and our braids and dreads. We were also talked about for having big full lips. We're also called ghetto for the way some of us talk, yet white people LOVE it when white women do these things. Kylie hasn't been called ghetto for wearing long decorative nails. White people also don't call white women who wear braids ghetto, and you don't get called ghetto when you seen doing our dances, or using a "blaccent", and it's sexy when you all have "big, full lips." Well, for some of you, some of you end up looking like ducks with the lip filler. Either way it's exhausting.
