Hi! I’m the one who commented that the cleansing oil removed all my make up! To clarify I don’t use waterproof eye make up. I use only khol pencil in my lash and waterline and lipstick. I would never hate anyone who didn’t like the same skincare products as I do! I can’t understand this! I love your reviews!

People are really really dogmatic sometimes - like they’re trying to convert someone violently to their religion. It’s skincare. It doesn’t matter. If it works for them and it’s in their budget, shouldn’t we be happy for them? Of course I’m always pleased to hear what people are using!!!

It's good to hear different people's openion on same product because I have oily skin and where I live more than half the year it's hot and humid, so very watery serums and toners are really good options. If you use more moisturizing toners you'll look like a grease ball. So I think certain things could totally depend on skintype and weather conditions.

I have very oily skin, GIANT pores, and dark sebaceous filaments in my nose and the glow serum has genuinely changed my skin. I was using the Paula's Choice BHA and a clay mask with little to no difference and then I started using the BOJ Glow Serum and it was a game changer. People ask me what makeup I use and it's literally just my skin. I sound like an advertisement but I'm being real 😂

@@MissCocoDior Amazing! :) Oh I have been using the gel peeling (drops of youth) from the body shop since years! I like how it gives you very soft skin and it doesn’t feel as harsh as other peelings. The only thing is that the little gel clumps can get stuck on facial peach fuzz hair and you have to gently massage them out with warm water. Other than that I really like it! But if there is a similar product from a Korean brand I would be curious to try it out.

The rice sunscreen holds a special place in my heart. It’s the first chemical sunscreen I tried that I can actually use. I agree that the Skin1004 and iUnik sunscreens are better formulations and work better under makeup, but I love it for when I don’t wear makeup. I’m one of the essence water lovers. I put it in a mister bottle and apply it immediately after cleansing. Then, I use other toners and essences afterwards. I thought it wasn’t doing anything until I stopped using it, and my skin stopped looking as good.

Hiya, thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's interesting to hear that the BoJ sunscreen worked so well for you. I have also heard from some that the ginseng essence water has helped their skin to improve whenever they get breakouts or rosacea. Makes me really wonder why it doesn't do anything to mine..?? I'll give it another chance when I have issues with my skin other than just dryness. So have you picked it back up and got your dewy skin back? Would love to hear from you so interesting. 🙂
@tinksspixiedust
@tinksspixiedust Жыл бұрын
It’s not dewy but I’m working on it. A string of tragedies disrupted my life, and I stopped taking care of my skin for a few years. That was enough for my age to catch up with me and give me skin issues I’d never had before. I’m almost 67 but used to look like I was still in my 40’s. Sadly, I won’t get that back, but I’m working on getting the best skin I can have now. Perhaps why it works so well for me is my age and the years of neglect. Maybe it works better for difficult skin. BTW, mine is dry to very dry, super sensitive, and allergic to many common cosmetic ingredients.

Wow, some people are so aggressive. I’m so sorry. I don’t think that people should hate you just for stating your opinion. I love how clear and honest you are when explaining your thought progress. I learned a lot from you. I have oily/acne skin type but I love watching your videos. I come from “I’m from”, “klairs” and “wishtrend” skincare. Good stuffs but breaking my bank. So I’m on the hunt for new affordable products. In terms of BOJ, I love the red bean pore mask and the revive eye cream. I was so hyped for the oil cleanser but hearing that it does not remove waterproof mascara, is disappointing. I’m looking forward to more content as a new sub! Thank you!

Hiya! Thanks so much for your kind words and support. I'm ok with all the comments though some can be a bit aggressive. I just take it as that everyone is different like every skin is different. 😄 Thanks for sharing your story as well. I really like the brands from by Wishtrend as well but they are a bit pricey. You should definitely be able to find more affordable and effective alternatives in K-beauty. I did hear that the red bean line in BoJ is good for oily skin and I love BoJ eye cream too as you already probably know! Cleansing oil isn't recommended for oily skin types in general so you can pass BoJ cleansing oil for that reason too. Adding the link to my previous cleansing video which I explain more in-depth here in case you haven't seen it yet 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZirZKaEptCKpZI Kaine cleansing gel is a good option for oily skin btw. @@oneeyebeauty thank you so much for the recommendation! I have been using for 5-6 years a cleanser called “Dear, Klairs - Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil -150ml” and I love it. I think I was told that you should fight oily skin with oil. It helps remove blackheads and cleanse the pores leaving it super hydrated and pump. And a plus, it removes 100% waterproof mascara 🤗. It has been my go to but pretty pricey (30CAD so a bit less in USA). I was thinking of trying manyo but this one is expensive too 😤 I will try the Kaine cleansing gel! I heard good things about it so we will see.

I love the sun stick! I have oily skin and I didn't really use it on top of makeup, don't reccommend if you use heavy makeup. I used it on my skin and even when I had concealer on and it went on okay. I really love that it doesn't leave the white cast. I think we might all just have different standards haha

I’ll say the cleansing oil works great in my experience, removing everything, but I’ll note that I always pair it with the water-based BOJ green plum cleanser as a two-step cleaning process. This makes use of the whole like-dissolves-like principle of chemistry 101 and I’ve seen a number of influencers use it in this fashion. I’ve been using the dynasty cream for a time and for that one I’d say it’s been a bit of a disappointment. In my experience, it’s not hydrating enough and I find I need something richer.

@@oneeyebeauty I would honestly describe the plum cleanser by itself as minimalist and unremarkable. I bought it because I trust BOJ at this point but realistically you could go a lot of ways with your second step cleansing product. That said, I plan to continue with the plum cleanser just because I know it pairs well with the ginseng oil and the combination has been quite gentle on my dry skin. I like that I know it will work and I’m generally less interested in and experimental with cleansing products than, for example, sunscreens. I don’t want to present the Dynasty cream in a too negative light, I just think it might be better suited to people with normal to oily skin.

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed the video! BoJ sunscreen is very moisturising so you could use it as 2 in 1 during day time. However, I would not recommend that you use it as an evening moisturiser as you're leaving the SPF chemicals on your face overnight. SPF contains ingredients that are hard to remove so if applied, double cleansing is a must and apply a regular moisturiser with no SPF. Sorry I had to tell you this. But stick with your routine during day time of course. Happy skincare with BoJ :)

When changing skincare products constantly doesn't it damage the skin barrier? How to do it correctly?
@oneeyebeauty
@oneeyebeauty 28 күн бұрын
You're absolutely right. Constantly changing skincare products can damage your skin barrier, leading to irritation or sensitivity. Try introducing one new product at a time, use barrier-supporting ingredients like ceramides + cholestrol + fatty acids or centella asiatica. For this I recommend Aestura Ato Barrier Cream or Ongredients Skin Barrier Calming Lotion shown in my skin barrier video + Best of 2024 video. I'll leave their links here for ya. kzbin.info/www/bejne/laW3gJ6ghL6Co6s / kzbin.info/www/bejne/bny7Y2SEaMeFe8U As this is a great question, I'll be sharing it in this week's OEB email newsletter in the question of the week section! I had the sunscreen without realising what it was 😂 I was going to buy the mugwort stick but from what you showed I don’t think I will buy it now. ❤ I love the K Beauty stuff and hope it treats my western 🇬🇧 skin as good!

Would the round lab birch juice sun cream be okay for oily skin?

Hiya, yes but it does have a dewy finish so if you're not a fan of that maybe it won't be the right one for you. I have done a video on sunscreens showing the top 5s for dry and oily skin types here kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGPNe313l76AeLM Hope this helps :)

Could you review the green plum AHA BHA toner from BOJ. I want to buy it but don’t know if it will be strong enough for my acne.

Hi Ella! I am curious to know what you mean by strong enough for my acne? I would recommend a gentle product if you have acne-prone skin. I really appreciate your request and usually try to take all my subscribers' requests like a Genie in the bottle and make the purchase to test asap! However, my skin can't take any ingredients like AHA, BHA, salicylic acid all those :( So I will do some research and get my other helpers with oily/combo skin types to test that product for you and for my future BoJ products for oily skin type video. In meantime you can also check my blog post about Top 5 BoJ products for oily and acne-prone skin types here 👉 www.oneeyebeauty.com/post/best-skincare-for-oily-skin-from-beauty-of-joseon Hope this helps :)

Hiya, sorry about my late reply. Try Coxir vita C bright eye cream that’s designed for hyperpigmentation around the eye area. I have a plan to do a video of eye cream reviews soon so stay tuned 💚
