Yeah, I think last year she was experimenting with prerecorded dialogue. This is clearly live so I guess she's got a pitch-shifter wired up to the sound system. Interestingly, the high frequency ringing effects on her voice were there on the night, it's not the audio compression (though it does sound as if it was).

It sounds like a digital pitch shifter. I'm not sure how the high-frequency ringing effect is produced, though. You could do this with a Raspberry Pi Zero, an Arduino chip or heck, you could probably even use the mainboard from a Behringer FX600 pedal. Those are nice and cheap.

It sounds like a digital pitch shifter shifting downwards with the original voice mixed in about 50/50 wet and dry. I'm not sure what the high frequency ringing effect is. How she's actually implemented it, I have no idea. It could be an Arduino chip, a Raspberry Pi, software running on a phone, or even the mainboard from a guitar pedal.

That's something that will get you quite different answers depending on who you ask, and I can't speak for Bass or its owner, but I can say that fursuiting is far more fun to do than you'd sensibly expect. Being admired, photographed and fussed over is probably a big factor. For me, I wanted to try cosplaying as one of the characters in my comic and it kind of took off from there.
