Beauty of the Bass: thermal shutdown ( Confuzzled 2016 )

Here's a short clip of BeautyOfTheBass at Confuzzled 2016, famous for her internal sound system.
I may also upload the rest of the footage I shot but am a little leery of the music copyrights, and for that matter I wasn't happy with the videography.
On the other hand, no-one else seems to have uploaded footage of the dance so...

Thanks. I thought it made an amusing ending actually. But I do wish I'd thought to follow. My original plan was to just let you wander off shot, but then the crowd started following. I also wish I'd kept it running until you actually got in the lift but at the same time I figured you probably wanted the space. So many things I'd have done differently filming it if I'd known...

the elevator is so slowing but I've laughing when listening the message in repetition. It's a good idea for informing your public when you return at home/bedroom of the hotel in convention. If you want I can make a folder for a little tour in my city in France with your fursuit. The good spot is the castle of William the conqueror

Not always, some people don't know how hot it is in a suit and my think she put it on for attention. If you have an idea to use this then use a diffrent sound otherwise people will think you are copying.

Well that was rude in my opinion, when she turns on the system overheating, that means SHE IS OVERHEATED and wants to go cool down, calm down, and have a drink, she could be stressed out or not feeling well, so it really doesn't help her when you crowd her and ask for pictures, etc

I'm pretty sure she turns it on manually. If you look at the 2015 and 2016 footage closely, she usually grabs her right wrist and does something to change the music. I'd guess it's a phone or an MP3 player hidden away in the fur.

If I was designing it, I'd look into a music remote for a phone, one with large, physical buttons that you can locate by touch. That would allow you to stop, play, skip etc. You'd have to pre-queue a track listing, but if you put the 'overheating song' as the last one, that should do the job.

If you guys didn't know, at cons I play music. I have a small internal sound system, it's a cheapo makeshift amplifier that goes in my pocket, and the wires in and out go under my shirt so they are not seen. I am also a mild audiophile and I think Bluetooth audio sucks, so I have a TRS (headphone) jack from either my Pono or from my phone, in my other pocket. There is a midrange basic speaker in the top of the head, and one 3.5 inch mini subwoofer in the cheek. A lot of mods xD For those wondering, the amplifier is just the circuit board from an old pair of computer speakers powered by a 9v battery. The system is about equal to a decent-ish somewhat bassy car stereo. However, I think due to heat, a few months ago at TFF 2016, a capacitor on my first (crappy) amp blew up during a test. Thank god that wasn't in my pocket.

I also have quite the challenge of skipping tracks or playing specific playlists (FursuitParadePlist, random) or just shuffling for walking around. I also, in conjunction to my phone and Pono, use a 3rd gen iPod Nano. It runs Rockbox, I hate the original Apple firmware. I usually just go inside the headless lounge to change playlists, because I have to pull out the whole wiring and crap.

Well, the ears and tail made me think she was a 'roo at first, which was handy because I was photographing unusually-coloured kangaroo fursuits for a friend in Australia who likes such things. However, Bass is actually some kind of cyborg werewolf demon thing. So not really a distinct species AFAIK.
