Sukuna in the manga told Jogo "of all the sorcerers, evil sorcerers and curses that I faced during these thousand years, you are the strongest" I mean, what he said had more weight and meaning 😅 since many had the impression that that Jogo is weak when not, he is very powerful, that is partly why he cried since basically the king of curses recognized him, he could only have fulfilled his purpose if Gojo did not exist and Sukuna was dead, that is why Sukuna recognized him as someone really powerful, to be more precise the most powerful being he has faced so far 👍 and also Jogo survived several attacks from Gojo, that is already a very big trick, he even survived a "red" from Gojo and still remained conscious when Gojo uses domain expansion in his first fight in the first season (which is impressive considering that everyone who enters it remains inconsistent, even the special curses although they wake up in a few minutes)

Despite Sukuna's trash talking and malevolence, you can still sense he is a very respectful opponent in the end. What a send off for Jogo.

one thing about jujutsu sorcerers though that makes them so real in the world of shounen anime is that at the first sign that they're fighting a losing battle and that death is imminent they're BOOKING it. even GOJO, when he saw the prison realm before him, took a step back and turned around ready to run (before fake geto intercepted of course). even gojo. that's why i get kusakabe not wanting to do anything reckless and unnecessary cause they would probably be heading for certain death. just like dre said the sorcerers are getting picked off left and right and they haven't even made it to gojo yet. they've been almost entirely powerless this whole arc and even if cowardly, i think his mentality is realistic and veryyy on par with a jujutsu sorcerer's usual mindset anyway 😭

The contrast between Sukuna praising Jogo's strength and Gojo laughing at him and calling him weak is really interesting. Beyond that, the animation is obviously next level. I just hope they aren't setting the bar too high, cause the next 3-5 episodes are about as important as this one if not more.

This anime is all about 2 contradicting philosophies of what strength is. Sukuna wants to burn it all down, chaos, remove everyone and anything until you're the strongest. And gojo wants to lift up the weak.

@Henrydota2 gojo has less empathy than sukuna, sukuna respects and praises strength and talent. Unlike gojo, sukuna had to work for his strength he wasn't born being the strongest with some hax hereditary technique passed down the generations. That's what separates real strength (determination, effort and never giving up) from weakness (unearned generational wealth and status, hereditary bs techniques and unearned arrogance). Gojo is embodying every single weak trait. Sukuna is an inspiration to everyone, he motivate us to strive for greater heights instead of being complacent with were you currently stand he is a hero.

Sukuna looks at strength objectively instead of comparing people to himself, because in his view no one can compare to him. Sukuna even says he doesn't understand why Jogo is crying, he can't understand emotions. Gojo we've seen feel for people, his anger over Yuji's death is a great example

@@theblackswordsman7558sukuna was also blessed with natural talent, he likely absorbed his twin which is why he’s deformed meaning like maki and mai- he has a huge power up from being “whole” , he has a vast amount of CE, can use RCT easily, could do handsigns with 2 out of his four arms and keep fighting, and who knows what the box was that he could pull a new cursed technique out of his ass

Uraume (Sukuna's friend) hasn't revealed their gender yet so could be male or female. I know the voice actor is female, but we don't know for sure yet. Also from the way they're bowing, Sukuna is definitely above them. And also they call him 'sama' which means lord/master so Uraume is just a close partner, and not above Sukuna in power :P
