I’m with you Kat. I think what gives you a nice finish when using a beauty sponge is the fact it absorbs a little bit of the product. It picking up a bit of the product and helping move it around and even it out is what I enjoy about Beauty Blender.

I rather just use my hands, fingers and or a brush if it comes down to it because the sponge is crap

I literally used that metal eyelash comb this morning out of the blue and it saved my life before going to an audition. I find them so good for a new mascara when it’s too wet and it just sticks all of your lashes together in a big spike. I wish I had one with slightly thinner prongs(?) honestly. It’s just good to keep on hand just in case. Big fan

The saddest thing about beauty blender being so hell bent on including that teardrop design is that the foundation was actually incredible yet too much money so many never got to try it. By the time it made it's way to beauty boxes there were very limited shades. What a shame! They should bring it back in regular packaging, charge half as much & let people see how great it is/was!

I think to start with, if revelon had marketed the silicone double-ended applicator as something for lips,corners of the face, and highlight/blush... Maybe it could of been a game changer cause then a later release could of been a bigger one for face/body

I have a tool that applies the foundation and concealer beautifully: My fingers. I actually don't need an unsustainable company that will produce something that mimics our finger(print)s. Our hands, well washed can do wonders and are fast, won't absorb product, so less waste. And they're free. I think, at least when I did my thesis on sustainability, people are turning into more reliable brands and sources (and also resources), less waste, less contamination, better use of time, money, etc; and these brands are the totally opposite, totally blind and deaf (they haven't heard of the 2030 agenda nor where the world is going, apparently).
@kellysblackcatАй бұрын
I agree. I use my hands too. Years ago I used the Shiseido moisture mist cream foundation and it came with a really nice sponge, and we also used sea sponges back then too., the 90s. But now I just use my hands, and for cream blush etc. So much easier and faster I think.

Metal lash combs are sooo much better than plastic ones (which I have broken). My metal one is from real techniques, have had for years!
@yensid42942 ай бұрын
I still own a metal eyelash comb, a couple in fact. One folds down to fit in a makeup bag. The trick is to use them from the top so you don't poke your eye or close your eye. The plastic ones are garbage. When I was in high school, girls would actually use straight pins & needles to separate their lashes 😮 One silicone product I like is a shield. You can use it instead of tape for sharper edges on your eye looks, as a guide for eyeliner & a stencil edge for contour (if you're going for a hard edged look)

I was put on to the artis brushes from an MUA on insta who has a tremor (I also have a tremor) and I fear I did fall for them. LOL I found them really great for stabilising and the handles are chunky which made gripping easier and less painful. Great for complexion but I agree the eyeshadow ones are silly. The other ones I love in a similar vein (good for my disability) are the golden triangle ones from bdellium tools, they're fantastic for eyes.
@Chaotic_Pixie21 күн бұрын
I appreciated your sentiments on the wing stamper. I personally find I wouldn’t wear just the stamped wing, but that certain ones, because of how you line them up, gave a really great outline for getting the angles of a wing correct and matching. I’d then go in with an angled liner brush and extend the flick or darken the stamp and it worked well. But I’ve since given up on wings. I just don’t feel the need for them as my glasses almost always hide them. A colorful waterline is almost always going to be more noticeable on me and far easier to do.

I actually like to use the silicone applicator to apply gel liner to my waterline! It was annoying for me to always be cleaning the dried chunks of gel liner out of my brush and found that I can dip the very tip of the silicone applicator into the gel pot and apply it to my waterline and smudge it out! It actually works surprisingly well. I got two applicators for $5 on Yesstyle, and I'd say it's worth a try experimenting with them.

e.l.f. also sell a 'silicone' make-up sponge, similarly to the one by Makeup Forever, it has a silicone coated base. It's £6 here in the UK and is actually pretty good. That was also a weird product.
