Regarding the MAC palette, maybe I'm a cynic but my theory is that they don't actually want to sell that many palettes. It's a 100% loss for them, so by setting the price at the highest point they can get away with (40 x the price of a single) they can decrease demand while still touting the fact that they're donating all proceeds, not just profits.

Nail polish super fan here. Nail polish falls under 3 categories "main stream"(found in stores and made in vats) "boutique" (found only online and made in vats) and "indie" (found only online and made by hand mixing) MoonCat falls into the boutique category. Fun fact MoonCat and HoloTaco both ship out of the same warehouse! And your 100% right about body chemistry! These videos much take so much work thanks for doing it!

I only wear red polish and when Chanel discontinued Dragon, I spent a few fruitless yrs hunting for the perfect dupe. I now have almost 30 bottles of red, all of which are almost identical but none match Dragon 🤣

Not only have KVD always had (MadMax) brown, they also used to have an olive green liquid liner that I've been missing for years now. It was a perfect, not too yellow, not too jade or emerald green. It was the perfect, earthy olive green.

Hot tip for fellow Aussies. The Kmart lip sleeping masks are $3 and a pretty good dupe for the Laniege. They are firmer in the jar but on the lip feel the same. I’m a bit financially tight at the moment and ran out of the Laniege, in winter when my lips are a dry mess! Kmart has saved me!

Never bought anything from KVD but I was in Sephora the other day and swatched a liquid eyeshadow pot that was genuinely jaw-dropping. It was black, but when you rubbed it in, it had glitter/duochrome and then it dried down almost immediately and would NOT come off! It made me wish I was goth so I could buy it, but I would probably use it twice a year and there was such a generous amount of product compared to how much you needed that I think that eyeshadow would have outlived me. Literally a one-step smoky eye in a jar, I was shook.

10:21 i second the "yuck" on the coconut scent. I'm southeast asian, and coconut will always smell like rice cakes/ rice pudding to me.I don't want to smell like an afternoon snack.

I like the old Mac Fix+ mister for spritzing my makeup brushes, but not my face. I’ll hold onto my old packaging so I can use it in my brushes without getting a micro-mist everywhere, but I do look forward to trying the new mister and finally feeling a glorious cloud of Fix+ on my face the way it’s meant to be.

I bought the Sun Boss Gloss and I LOVE IT. It’ll be my go-to summer lip when I don’t want too much pigment but some hydration/protection. And I love the coconut; it smells like tanning oil 😍😜 Also Colourpop has a really good watermelon lip mask, it’s my favorite tbh And agree with the indie nail polish comment… All I got is Holo Taco now lol

Laneige's Watermelon Pop is AMAZING - it beat Lemon as my favorite version and I bought 3 backups bc it's limited edition. I never understood the Fix+ hype, especially with the terrible sprayer that managed to spit on me and dribble down my hand at the same time.

What kills me about every brand launching blush is how I still have a hard time finding a *Red* red cream or liquid blush. I like underpainting red blush for a sunburn look and almost every brand does a pink, coral, orange or berry and not just RED red. And, like, I know Charlotte Tilbury has a red in the new cream blush but I'm not paying her prices for one. (That being said I have one from Urban Decay and one from Canmake Tokyo but I'm still on the hunt!) How can every brand be launching blush but there are so few reds!

Checkout amanda z’s red blush video. She reviews a lot of good options. I personally recommend Milk’s jelly tint in the red shade. Also merit in the shade Rouge. Both formulas are similar on the face despite the cream vs stain.

Milk stick in Flip, Rare Beauty liquid in Grateful and Danessa Myricks Color Fix in Primary Red are all true reds that stay red on the skin because they have very strong pigmentation. If you're open to powder, which has more options, Nars Exhibit A is a classic

I bought in to the brand rhode when they first launched their peptide lip tint. And I was looking for an alternative. They work great for the winter time. I live in the southern states so a lot of dryness and humidity comes and go. My go to lip oil was from Jaclyn hill, those were amazing. I did manage to get a few stocked and those are reserved.

I actually just bought the new reformulated Mac Studio fix so I’m gonna give it a week. I didn’t care for NC 16 already took that back. I got nw 15 I needed something warmer for summer. I’m kind of liking it better than the old formula these last few days. And I certainly like the pump. I pretty much watched most of the new reformulated lipsticks, and they seem to be great as well. I’m also intrigued by the sparkly gray Fenty gloss. I looked up the M.A.C palette and it’s $150 US dollars which I think is insane. I can’t think of anyone that would want to buy this

I love blush but it always looks ends up looking patchy throughout the day . Powders, creams, liquids it’s doesn’t matter. I think my skin has spots that just don’t hold onto pigment. I prime and set and do all the things but it just disappears there, same with bronzers. The one that does it the least is the NYX sweet cheeks liquid blushes so I always go back to them. I’ve been eyeballing the Patrick Ta blushes for awhile. I’m curious about the cream over powder technique

I've been using the colour pop (fourth ray?) lip sleeping mask for a while instead of the laneige, because I like the smell/taste much better and they're actually quite good. I have the watermelon one right now and I kinda love it 🍉 Not gonna lie though, I want to try the laneige one too now! 😂

I know this sounds crazy but I am looking forward to the holiday packs and it's only July. I went through my makeup and so much of it was pre-pandemic so I chucked so much of my huge makeup collection. It left me with like no lip products so I need the MAC mini lipstick set they do every year to come out and some packs of lip liners. For what I did keep, I went back and found the dates I bought them and put a little sticker on them with the date so it's easier for me to purge in the future.

Fan of the change to the MAC Fix Plus component, BUT I have to say, I don't know if I got a faulty one. It will still on occasion spit at you. You absolutely have to press all the way down each time.

Yes yes yes the Fix Plus mister. I stopped buying it for ages. The Morphe one is good ( Glow recipe setting my expectations for fine mister ofcourse) And the just 2 weeks back I bought a Fix Plus again and was thinking ‘ did I imagine the mister spitting? Because this one didn’t’ thanks for confirming I was not imagining it ! 🤣 Tbh the Shu Uemura brush tip eyeliner is still the best -other Korean and Japanese coming in second. None of these local brands hold a candle

The obnoxious spray in the face is why I started spraying a sponge & applying setting spray that way instead. My hair & shirt doesn't get soaked which is a plus. If you actually want a Rainbow Palette there are good ones from several indie brands (Blend Bunny has good ones) that are more affordable. If you want to support LGBT+ causes, just donte directly to the cause/charity of your choice instead of buying rainbow themed & packaged products that benefits the company more than the cause.

Ohhh. Ladies beware of the Patrick Ta highlighters and the Charolette Tilbury Shine stick. Might want to test in store if it’s possible. Theresaisdead tried them both and it was quite comical (as she does).

I was so excited for the Patrick Ta highlights as it's still uncommon for brands to release pale cool toned shades like white and baby pink for those of us with vampire pale skintones. Thankfully, I watched Lexi Jong, saw they're basically just chunky glitter, one a powder and one a grease paint, and decided to skip. I despise glittery face products and we're roasting here in Manhattan so I don't need a vaseline type highlight on my already melting face!

I bought the Cosmic Brushes Nudetrals Pallette and I'm so excited to get it. I only buy a Pallette every season or even every other season. This Pallette is like my dream pallette and I've seen so many good reviews about the quality I just couldn't resist. I realistically bought it for A/W as it screams those tones to me but I knwo it'll cerate some dope sunset looks too. And it's U.k based which is great for me as I don't have to pay and wait for shipping.

In the nudetrals palette there are some shimmer shades that are straight up the same color iridescent shimmer, but one is a sheer base and the other is a dark base. That part feels a bit redundant because if you put the shimmer with the sheer base over a dark matte shadow you've recreated the shimmer with the dark base

Glossier has come to the UK in stores and the pricing is ridiculous! What used to be $20 is £20 (should be closer to £16 on the actual exchange rate). It totals up when you want to get a few things or makes any discounts the original price I used to pay before! I like their ultralip formula but the packaging sucks- lid always falls off. It’s not worth £20 a lipstick at all.
