I have & love that Urban Decay Naked Basics 2. It’s a great travel friendly palette of soft matte shades. 2 shades in it will do my brows, the darkest shade works as an eyeliner even tight lining without irritating my eyes. Whatever highlight is around can add some shimmer and glow. I can add it to any other palette or single as a base or to blend out stronger tones. It goes with anything. A real work horse.

Agree! Good description of this palette. I can do a total look and I also use some of the midtowns for transition shades with color on my lids.

Agreed! This palette is one of my most satisfying makeup purchases. It's so easy to grab it to supplement another palette/singles, but I also find it beautiful to use on its own.

Hi Emily, omg that UD small cool toned palette was the very first item I purchased at Sephora, and high end. I just turned 40, so clearly I got into makeup in my 30's and had no clue about cool tones and warm, so I hated it. But I thought I was just bad at apply eyeshadow. I would only used the highlight shade I. My brow bone and girl lol it was not cute. Well not too bad, but now when I look back at pics, I cringe lol. Cool video!!

I think it’s too easy to get suckered into what is new or trendy, there are sooo many options and steps. I would just start with basics: a good, close to perfect color match foundation/cc cream/tinted moisturizer; concealer; brow product; and mascara. Blush if you’re pale (I tend to skip it since I’m tan). Everything else after that is just dependent on your likes and dislikes. I invest in skincare and foundation and kind of use drugstore options for everything else when possible, but high end stuff can be worth the price if you use it often and it’s a staple. There is sooo much good drugstore lipstick/eyeshadow/mascara now though

I used to love those Maybelline lipsticks! They're somewhere... My taste in lipstick shades has not changed, nor has my love of winged liner. My foundation preferences have changed (have dry skin now) and I do my brows and use highlighter now. Wasn't really a big thing in 2015😂😂

4 years ago I was obsessed with the Lorac Unzipped palette, I used to use it everyday no matter the occasion. Now I rarely wear eyeshadow! Crazy how some makeup preferences like your love for lipstick lasts forever and some fade away!

I remember the original video like it was yesterday, I wanted to get the UD shadow in Tonic from it & it was almost always sold out so I didn't get it until June 2016. Definitely not a shadow I use tonnes, but one I adore.

Since the lioele bb cream is not available right now, do you have suggestions for other bb creams around the same price point. I feel I have the same issues with foundations as you do. I am pretty neutral and thinks are to yellow or to pink.
