I actually have never been able to tell what any milks taste like in coffee lol, I always get vanilla so the milk flavors just recede to the background lol. I am more offended by the flavor of overly bitter/dark coffee or espresso.

As an ADHD person, I can confirm: many of us, for many reasons, not just ADHD are leaving some low dopamine tasks (like bathing, cooking healthy food, self care in general and going to do our medical check-ups) way behind. One thing I found to be helpful is: creating a reward system. Other thing helps me is writing down what I need done.

My skin has been through so much. When I was in middle school that’s when it started to breakout. At that time I suffered from texture, clogged pores and some cystic acne. My journey into high school and I still had the same skin issues, but my skin was combination when I was in my teens. After I finished school, I started to learn more about skin care to see what I could do to help my skin get better, but a year an a half I noticed that my diet should change too. I was vegetarian first for a year and then I went vegan. I’m almost finished with college and I’ve been a vegan for almost two years. I take daily vitamins for regular health and skin health. My skin care products are all pretty much vegan. My skin does struggle sometimes still, but as an adult my skin is dry and no longer combination like it was in my teen years. I do get breakouts still sometimes, but people with dry skin can get them too! ❤Skin is a journey!

I am in my 50’s and got adult onset “acne”. I almost started taking accutane. I saw a video about CONGESTED SKIN that changed my life. A DR compared one type of congested skin to Milia. She said some women as they get older can’t process the fat in dairy and peanut butter and it forms nodules on our skin similar to milia. OMG! I cut out peanut butter and dairy and overnight my skin started to clear. After a week I didn’t have one blemish. It’s been a year and I’m still 100% clear.

That’s interesting that eating soy helped your skin! I had to totally cut soy products, as they contain phytoestrogens (my acne was due to estrogen dominance). I hope that the pill isn’t just masking and underlying root cause-I think people are finally listening to the research regarding the severely negative impact the pill can have on our health
@lavayuki
@lavayuki Жыл бұрын
@@Hmy8799 For me I don't believe all that negative stuff about the pill, it's all farce imo. I think it's a revolutionary development for women, I am feminist and strongly believe in the benefits it can have for some people, not just contraception and giving women that freedom, but also helping with those that suffer acne/heavy painful periods etc. I think all those people saying negatives about the pill don't actually know anything, it has to be individual, it can be a saving grace for one person and negative for another. Saying it's all bad is utter ignorance, especially with how many women are helped by it, myself included. What is good for one may be not for another.

Because as a teen i never even thought about what was in milk, etc. And when she started to talk about skin picking, I found out that I was picking my skin, making my acne worse. Skin picking is a big problem of mine, and i know that they leave scars if you pick at them even more, but i don't know how to stop until I stop myself. 1: don’t compulsively pick your pimples/face 2: use pimple stickers or wear clothes to stop picking it 3: wash your hands, take good care of under nail dirt 4: hormonal acne from insulin resistance- excersise, set alarms for reminders to do things/ get things done, walk extra mile instead of taking train 5: food =medicine, reduce dairy intake, choose times when you eat cheese, Reduce the amount of sugar, reduce dessert intake 6: add healthy fats eg nuts ,avocado, oat butter, almond butter, Use „skin Tracker PDF“ in her Bio to track the breakout linked to which food that way you know what food causes your breakout 7: have a good sleep cycle and good sleep by staying away from caffeine after 7pm bc body needs to be calm at night to produce melatonin for a good sleep Turn off lighting at 10pm only soft lamps, use lavender aromatherapy to signal to brain it’s bed time, if you sleep good your body can heal properly during the night 8: be positive, love your skin, if ur stressed about ur skin you’ll have more pimples bc of the stress release

At 64, I've started advising young women about skin health and this video very well sums it up. I had no mentors and seems like the older generations were not taught these things at all. You might notice if something you ate showed up on your skin, but that was about it. The only thing I would add to this list is avoid oils. French fries, crackers, or a few chops shows up on my face and takes weeks to heal. In fact , the way they are processed in modern times has turned oils very toxic. Even the good oils (olive, coconut, avacado) should avoid high heat cooking. Anyway, thanks for your research and tips. Good advice! 😊

i don't understand my skin... I'm mostly acne free... *plottwist* when I'm not doing any skincare! I used to have a pretty elaborate skincare routine and my skin was in a constant state of breakout/inflammation no matter the cycle day/diet/etc. then I bumped into a low depressive period of life and stopped doing any routine at all. and wowza! my skin got ✨ clear✨. it wasn't smooth or glowy, it was pretty dull and unpolished, but absolutely free of any breakout. then I tried incorporating skin products again slowly... and immediately got acne. it's so unbelievably frustrating cause I'm 27 and I know I must look after my skin but my skin feels best when it's left alone. I've had several dermatologist giving me all sorts of advise including all of those in the video, but none has proven to be 100% effective so far... side note: I'm full keto, i don't eat any sugar, I exercise and have a pretty healthy sleeping routine. it really bothers me that I can't use *any* product, even the most gentle and soft without causing stress to my skin. guess i just gotta keep looking for a right dermatologist who will be able to help

This video is full of good advice. However, it might not work for everyone, as there are other root causes for acne. Oftentimes women with adult acne have PCOS, and while it's caused because of insulin resistance in many cases, there are other root causes such as adrenal fatigue. In this case, applying what's in the video might not fully get rid of it. Getting out of chronic stress mode would be the first thing to do for adrenal PCOS, with breathing exercices, mindfulness etc.

Tip: If you're like me and you don't want to quit dairy because you just love it so much, just switch to healthier dairy sourced naturally from local farms without added hormones. This will not only help your skin, but it is also beneficial for your body since more natural fats and proteins are present, due to the milk not going through chemical treatments. This helped me so much and hope it can help someone too!

Can I add something to this for the long nails? If those you like long nails wants to keep them, they can use a nail brush with soap and water, to keep their nails clean and don't have to cut them. I do this with my nails when I'm washing my hands all the time! (I'm a subscriber btw, I just haven't commented on this channel yet)

I had INSANELY bad acne for about four years and I have found the biggest thing that helped me was actually minimizing my skincare routine. Less scrubbing/exfoliating, less cleansing, less dry brushing, less massaging, etc. I know that sounds counter-productive but it worked for me. Now I just cleanse once a day and moisturize morning and evening :)

I used to drink Vietnamese coffee daily and I had a lot of chin acne I stoped and my acne cleared up but I started again and it is showing up again. I can conclude that dairy plays a significant role in creating my acne.

I just found your channel and you are doind an amazing job! Love it already :D I've got an additional fact for you regarding melatonin production. This may not be as big of an issue in sunny australia, as it is here in the dark of Swedish winter, but melatonin production is actually started during the day by exposing yourself to sunligt. Ideally you need to receive the light frequencies of the early morning light (around sunrise), and the last light (sunset). This maxes out your melatonin production at night
