A few wraps of green duck tape around an anchor log that you have snares hung from out by a feed file works awesome. I never wire poplar onto my traps anymore.

I always tell myself I'm going to try snares under the ice but always seem to resort to the 330 in runs. Not fond of of chopping holes in thicker ice out along the feed cache. Looking forward to seeing how you like then to use them.

Snares are so easy. Get a spearfishing ice saw or the mini trappers ice saw. Use the tip to chip a hole in the ice, then a few quick swipes of the blade cuts a hole across the run. Wire short snares to a fiberglass fence rod(1/2")n sink the works down in the run and youre on your way. If you cant locate a hard bottomed run you can set a snare overlapping another one. Its like a 6pack holder. Nothing gets through it without gettimg zip tied.

7x19 cable loads easy using your hand. That's all I ever used back in the day when fur was worth money. Awesome on coyotes also, using cam-locs. Got my supplies from Snare shop and made my own. Saved alot of money, also easy to make. Good luck snaring! 👍
