Doug I am 64 years old and have followed you for a number of years- I got so excited when I saw you in that pack boat that I started yelling - He is gonna go get Beaver sticks to to carve a Beaver stick with. My neighbor came over to see what all the commotion was and here I am giddy as a eight year old. This made my day brother. You are a visionary artist in both wood and film. Thanks for what you do here! Great Beaver too!

Hi. I'm new . I spent the last 6 mths watching stupid videos trying to learn, then I found your channel. All your little works, bunnies, wee lumberjack and the likes are great and are helping me learn a new hobby in a fun and better way. Also my son is getting curious. So thank you 👍. Oh and I understand the reason you do silent videos, well I hope I do. I enjoy them most.

I loved how you left the evidence of the beavers signature on the piece you chose. I live near a river and will come across a chewed off branch. I have made walking sticks leaving the signature at the top. Well done.

Hello Doug, thank you for the wonderful videos you have put out. I have one request for you, could you please explain what these three types of carving are: Flat Plane, Bark, and Chip. I see them used everywhere but no one tells you what the difference is between the three. Thank you again for the education you have provided for me and a lot of other new carvers.
