That's a good day's take of beaver. When I lived in rural Western Washington state in the late 1970's and early 1980's I would occasionally see a beaver pond in a logged over National Forest area. Nothing like the numbers that you are trapping out of Northeast Mississippi. I dont think that I saw 9 live beaver in 5 years, and you have caught close to 30 since the trapping season has begun. You are blessed to have such a supportive wife. Sneak some beaver stew into the Crock Pot and tell her it's beef!

Mr. & Mrs. Ellis You might want to consider a trap and relocate solution to an area of the country where these industrious critters can help restore the wetland habitat and help mitigate drought conditions. Yes, it’s a bit more work than simply dispatching them for you-tube revenue!
