I bet those beav's have already dammed it back up. You really needed to use a trackhoe or backhoe to open that up with. That way you could have easily taken out a larger section of the dam they had built.

I was thinking when we return I’m going to widen the the intake channel leading to culvert for even better flow ❤️😊👍 happy Sunday Missy Quid 👋
@brianmillar50753 ай бұрын
You should dig the intake out further and add another pipe so it extends out into the top pond by about 10 feet with a elbow piece set so it points down in the water, that way it won't make much noise so the beavers won't try to bloke it

Looks lit if the water keeps flowing it will drop the pond 4-5 inches. Thing is before you even get home the beavers will already be rebuilding. Johnny out is a failure. 😂

Seems like beavers get along with Mother Nature better than we do. The man made dams seem to be more prone to failures.

How about a follow up on the results of the draining don't give us half a video follow through.
@BuilderofRat2 ай бұрын
The ONLY way that water will keep flowing through the culvert will be to have some hunters sitting in a blind killing the Beavers that will be repairing their dam, and they WILL repair that dam. You have accomplished nothing with your effort. If you use some heavy equipment and take out the dam all of the way across the drainage it will put off the rebuilding of the dam for a little longer, but, if the beavers are still alive, they will keep repairing "their" dam! It is just that simple.
@wwb70912 ай бұрын
NEVER underestimate the persistence of beavers. I've been down that road before.... within a day or 2, they have completely rebuilt the dam. Even after trapping them out, another bunch was back in 2 years.
@BuilderofRat2 ай бұрын
@@wwb7091 Out in the wild, their dams improve things. They are often called nature's meadow builders. However as they move out of the wild and start to come into civilization, OR, civilization moves into the wild, these confrontations will continue. that is sadly just a fact of life about living in the country. There is a road going out of a 55,000 population city, just barely out of the city limits (1.5 miles) where there is beaver dam after beaver dam. It is right along the paved and well traveled road going up about 1,000 feet. It is cool to see, and causing no problems. I have lived here for 25 years, and they have always been there. There is one culvert under a main dirt road off of this paved road that they have repeatedly tried to block, and it has repeatedly been torn out. They finely gave up, and it has been beaver free for a few years. They will, of course, be back at some point, and they will again be torn out. It is easy access for a backhoe, and it only takes 30 minutes. Even for an animal as stubborn as a Beaver, they will eventually give up. Then a few years later, a new beaver will look at the culvert, and think, "what an awesome spot for my dam!" Then they cycle will repeat. LOL
@jonicostello27442 ай бұрын
No.so. When they realize the damn keeps being destroyed they will give up and relocate.
@connormyrick64222 ай бұрын
