Hey Beaver, your reviews are great becasue you answer all the important questions and compare it with other brands. You know his question will be asked aooner or later: is Diatone faster or Turbo Racing? Is it possible to put bigger tires on both to increase speed and ground clearance? I like the fact that you can buy the car only with Diatone.

Putting them side by side top speed is roughly the same but Turbo Racing accelerates slightly faster. You can cover the tyres with something eg. foam on both cars. But you can't swap the tyres. Turbo Racing tyres are glued in.

I like the RX7 and Eclipse ones, the C7x series because they are pretty fast on a right surface and the bodies look nice too.

I know if you use the edging on the mats you have you can push them in making a barrier. Just a thought. It wont fly off the mats.

Hi Beaver, do you know if the Turbo Racing transmitter/receiver is using a proprietary protocol? It seems the Losi Mini-T and Mini-B use their radios as well...

Yes, it uses a proprietary protocol. However they do sell the receivers both with gyro and non-gyro and they have many transmitters so you can choose one or buy only the receiver if you already have a car and use it like any other transmitters (Sanwa, Futaba, Flysky, Radiolink, etc.).

Hi there! I saw someone complain about the C72/73 being slower than the C71. Since you own both of these do you think that’s true? If yes, what do you think, why?

I'll have to charge them and try again but as far as I remember, yes, my C71 runs a bit faster than my C72. I think it's because C71 has slightly larger wheels than the others.

All Turbo Racing uses the same protocol so it'll work with this too.

I would rate it as a no. The battery is soldered to the board so you'll have to do some soldering to change it.

@@AllramYT This one has pretty good ground clearance so it's quite good if you have a thick carpet. Otherwise if the carpet is not that thick (if you have office carpet or similar) something like Jiabaile 1/43 is also really good and way cheaper.

The light colours on the car can't be changed unless you replace the LEDs.

NO WAY this is 100% GARBAGE...it sells for $90 and it's only got about $0.20 worth of plastic and about $2 worth of ELECTRONICS. Why even do a review ON A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!

$90 is expensive but the tech that goes into this is pretty good especially for a tiny RC.
