Montessori mom here. Instead of saying "Good job," you can say something like "You used all your blocks!" or "Wow, so many colors!" or "I see you put a lot of effort into building that tower." The goal is to redirect the compliment into an observation or recognition of their achievement. This encourages intrinsic motivation and helps them take pride in their own efforts and accomplishments, rather than seeking external validation. For example, instead of saying "Bec, you're doing such a great job," you can say: "Bec, I see how you keep showing up and facing each day with so much courage and determination. It’s inspiring to see the strength you’re finding within yourself."

Hi I'm Joanne too and it made me sit up and wonder about you. I met E&B in London back in November 2019 when my 18 year old daughter was in hospital suffering with really bad MH. E&B were such a ray of light in those difficult times. Sadly my daughter never recovered and spent the last 4 years of her life in hospital being failed by the professionals who had no clue about autism and how it presents in females and despite being on 2:1 observations 24/7 my beautiful girl passed away one week after her 20th birthday, just 2 months after Lee died, and after having to wait 3.5 years I have just spent 5 weeks in court attending her Inquest where the hospital were forced to admit 10 counts of failings. I finally have answers and some closure and am now trying to pick myself up and move forward with life without her. I am so interested in how Bec has changed her mindset and learnt how to be joyful again. I don't know your story but I send you all my love and strength for whatever it is you are going through. ❤ Joanne aka JMK❤

I just wanted to say you don't need to learn meditation from a big name. You can learn for free on KZbin or at your library. You don't need to pay someone thousands of dollars, or follow any one person or guru. The heart of meditation is sitting with yourself and touching the core of your being. It's transformational and universal.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33 years old in February of this year. I have been going through treatment since April, and I'm on the last phase of it all and will be done with radiation the first week of December!!! I just needed to tell you, Bec, that your journey through navigating your diagnosis has helped me change and reframe the way I have dealt with it. I have gone all in on trying to heal myself internally and emotionally because you have taught me(even 2 years ago) that instead of meeting it all with resistance to meet it with joy and love and as a lesson as opposed to this great weight and death sentence. So I guess I would just like to say thank you, Bec, for being so open and vulnerable and authentic about your journey with cancer and just life. It has helped more than you know. Keep shining bright!!!!

Hi Eamon & Bec Don’t ever change Eamon. You’re doing great as a young man, dad & partner. Bec…you’re in a position of urgency to love life and grab it by the horns and I understand where your words of wisdom are coming from. I value them. By the blessing and curse that is cancer you have been now thrown into different perspectives. To understand and accept one another for your strengths and flaws is true love. Continue to uplift one another. You’re both as important as each other.

We were given the doctor’s “Just be grateful for the time you’ve had with him…” speech on three separate occasions when my father became sick. He lived 16 more years, into his mid-80s, and passed of something else entirely. He was the strongest and most joyful person I’ve ever met. Despite his illness, he was always truly appreciative of all the goodness, beauty, and wonder around him. Whenever someone would ask him how he “deals with it” he’d always laugh, shrug his shoulders, and say “can’t hurt steel!” You remind me of him in many ways Bec, you got this💕 Also, I’ve always been the eye contact say hi type person (from my dad no doubt) and it can truly make someone’s day-which multiplies and spreads

Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Before the surgery we printed off the healing prayers from the Bible and prayed those words over and over for a couple of days. When another scan was done there was a seam where the large tumor had been, the tail of the pancreas had necrosis from the tumor. It was an instant healing. The doctors and two major hospitals who evaluated me were stunned. I still have trouble believing it happened to me. I asked God to let me finish homeschooling my last child and see who she would marry someday. That all happened and I am in perfect health, Praise God. I will once again start meditation with Dr. Joe as I did a short time ago. You have inspired me to take it seriously, I want the joy and transformation I see in you both!!! Thank you.

Thank you both for making this pod cast. I have been waiting to hear Becs journey through her healing process. As a person with stage 4 cancer (I don’t even usually say that or even entertain the thoughts that it’s real because I don’t feel sick besides how the treatments make me feel. And I’m running out of treatment options) I am soooooo open like Bec said to all the things. Hypnotherapy, energy healers, angels, gratitude, affirmations, mirror work, meditation (which is a new one I’d love to incorporate) just some of the things outside of traditional medicine that I have in my life. But my step mom has been raving about Joe’s work and Bec is just what I needed to jump in and start learning how to heal myself through his methods. There is so much to learn but you have motivated me to start. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me hope and showing me that I have the power inside myself! You radiate a positivity that I look forward to being too. You are beautiful and inspiring! So much love and healing vibes sent your way. Hey, In réponse to the topic of Bec being in school…and she had big ideas she expressed in that she felt she would be an entrepreneur of some sort. Something ‘outside the box’ as she said… And the teachers response was ´you’d be a good teacher’ That clearly was not what Bec wanted to hear at the time. But, the reality of it is that maybe her idea of what a teacher is..was stuck inside the box. The idea that teachers only exist in an institution where they teach. But today, She is a teacher. A teacher of spiritual gifts. A teacher of things less tangible. A teacher of how to be a strong person…and endure the worst but come out on top…better than ever ❤ She’s absolutely taught me a lot throughout the years but especially in the last couple and I’m sure all of your viewers would say the same. Sending all the love and light -Ains

Bec, your journey is beautiful and your light does shine all around. And it is with love that I feel like coming here and say that, be careful with people who prey on those who are vulnerable. Joe has built a business through a cult fed by pseudoscience. His ideas might be great, although not new, but make sure your eyes are always open to see things for what they are. A lot of people live in harder and more vulnerable circumstances that, for example, cannot afford his lessons. Anyway, live your journey. Live your love, our love, the love we all share. We learn everyday and need some paths to learn even more. Love to Frankie! :)

PLEASE do not make blanket statements that are just your opinion and not factual. His books cost $17 or less--and he has NEVER said you must attend a retreat in order to learn his methods or heal yourself. If you read any of his books you would know that written meditations are included FREE and he thoroughly explains how to meditate in his books. The average person CAN afford a book--or can get one from an online used book store such as Thrift Books or Abe Books--or borrow them from the library. Although I believe you mean well, you really need to be informed before you accuse someone of running a cult and practicing pseudo-science. It is disturbing--first do your research, then offer an educated opinion. Joe Dispenza is helping myriads of people live happier lives-- that is a fact. If you personally don't want to read his books or look into the science and research done by creditable universities regarding meditation and brain studies that's your perogative, but it isn't okay for you to discourage others from doing so by discrediting scientific data you haven't researched. Do yourself a favor and actually read one of his books. I suggest you start with Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself. If you want to learn more, follow it with You are the Placebo and Becoming Supernatural. Nothing cult-like is going on with Dr. Joe Dispenza--he's just a man on a mission to do good and encourage people to love themselves and others. The world would benefit greatly from this simple act. ❤

@SisterOfTheFireflies181 You feel very strongly about it, as if deeply offended. He's just a man. You are not less than him. I'm sure his books are great, I love reading this kind of stuff. As someone who meditates, I certainly know the scientific proven importance of meditation. Some of his teachings are certainly available. It takes a scientist to understand what pseudoscience is. Maybe it's worth a bit of research on that. I do mean well when I say it. There's certainly a healthy balance I believe we should all strive for that lies between skepticism and fanatism. In the awareness of our own motivations lies the truth of where we are in this balance. My motivations are not to lead Bec out her path, but to offer a warning. It's her call, her journey. If your motivation is to defend him, perhaps it's worth checking why the opinion of a random person like me would bother you so much. I do hope we all have our eyes and ears open. Believing we are enough and we are all equals might be a start.

@@anitalatinaTo quote you: " Joe has built a business through a cult fed by pseudoscience". The definition of pseudoscience is: a collection of beliefs or practices mistakenly regarded as being based on scientific method. Again, your statement is non-factual and misleading. I am not offended by it nor do I think Joe Dispenza is more than a man or better than me. My reply was in response to your words above and implying that access to his teachings are not available to those of lesser means. You have a right to your skepticism, we all do. However, as someone who believes in the importance of discerning facts from fiction I have a problem with the non-factual statements you made, thus I wrote a response--it is that simple and nothing more. I've said my piece and will move on from here. I wish you the best on your path of learning and believe you mean well for Bec and Eamon, as do all of us who follow them. We are all students of life trying to make sense of our journeys. Peace be with you.🦋🙏🕊

So I’ve listened to pods for years. First Matt and Abby, then they collaborated with Cara and Nate. Then you two made a video with the two of them. Since that day you became my go-to every Sunday night (I’m in Asia and that ended my weekend). You disappeared then came back with this. And you’re my FAVORITE internet people - have been for a few years now. You remind me of all my closest friends. In a nutshell, you’re my people and I feel so connected to both of you. I work in mental health in Newfoundland. While some aspects of happiness are within our control-such as the thoughts and behaviors we choose to engage in-others are influenced by biological, environmental, and external factors. In this sense, happiness may not be an absolute "choice," but it is certainly something that can be cultivated through awareness, practice, and supportive environments.

See my post in the comments. I'm following my therapist's advice and only getting my news via written words instead of videos. It helps for me to be in control of what "news" comes into my brain. I use NPR, PBS news and BBC news written articles online. I'll read the headlines and decide if I want to read it or not. It's helping sooooo much! I can't keep hating people I don't even know because a politician or KZbinr tells me so. People do things for their own reasons and who TF am I to judge them. I'm atheist and never judge anyone for being religious nor go out of my way to hate them or try to convince them that they're wrong. Cult leaders (like Trump) are very powerful manipulators and he's shown to be one of the best in history...besides the German guy. Bec has been through some horrible, stressful events, as we all have been and if she can keep a positive outlook, then so can I. Hate and judgement never hurts anyone but ourselves. I am choosing love and understanding and openness instead.

'Sit up straight. Eyes closed. Take a deep breath. And relaaaaax your body' - love the way most Dr. Joe meditations start (my favourite at the moment being the short 'changing boxes ' 🧘🏼‍♀️ meditation & the 'love your body' meditation). There are many, many testimonials on Dr. Joe Dispenza's KZbin channel & I think Bec should write to Encephalon (Dr. Joe's Company) and tell them her testimonial - because: she honestly is the most inspirational and inspiring of all. When she had her first diagnosis (which Dr. Joe refers to as the 'voodoo curse'), I shouted into my phone, to her 'Read Dr. Joe Dispenza's books this will help you!' - and now she is all in with the meditations and changing into a more evolved version of herself. Chapeau, beautiful Bec, you are showing us all the power of the mind and emotions. Wow, you will not just change one person's trajectory, but many people's, I have no doubt. ❤❤❤

@peace__rising 27 күн бұрын
the whole thing about choosing to be happy does not take into account how trauma can get stuck in the body. yes the mind is extremely powerful and yes in some instances it can trump the body, BUT in most cases its way more complex than that. especially if you suffer from CPTSD/PTSD (+ other mental health diagnoses). sometimes the mind doesn't allow you to comprehend the true extent of the pain you have, so you need to create safety (emotional, environmental, relationships) in order to even be able decide to start to heal and bring awareness in. I myself do remember when i said to myself that i wanted to stop being in a victim mentality and change but there is sooo much more to it than just making one decision with the mind. its an ongoing decision that you have to stick to everyday, and you have to take into account how your body keeps the score of the traumas you've experienced and incorporate movement, somatic therapy, nervous system healing, look at individual & collective influences, IFS, cbt therapy, transpersonal therapy + so much more (all depending on what you need) to be able to really process the trauma, see the pattern, take responsibility and actually make that decision to change to be grateful for life and the lessons that are there for you! Bec i love you so much, you have amazing energy, and you have learnt so much and i know you want to share the knowledge that you've accumulated, and please continue doing that as its so powerful to share, but please tap into your humility, your curiosity, your own projections, because i can really see that you are developing a spiritual ego where you're projecting your individual experience onto others and how things should and shouldn't be. where you end up in a dynamic with others off "i know more and you should listen to me" and when people disagree with you, you do an eye roll and don't actually truly connect with them where they are at because you think you're right! and trust me i get , i've been there, but you're truth is not the same for eamons truth (or anyone elses), yes there can be overlaps and patterns for sure but there is so much more nuance to people psyche's. i urge you to not be so rigid in your thinking and think that you know more or are always right when it comes to spiritual or psychology topics because there is always, ALWAYS more to learn! im fully aware of that in some aspects im projecting here but i honestly do see a lot of the signs that this happening with you too, but i might be wrong, i only see what you post on youtube and don't know you outside of youtube, but i hope that atleast some of what i've said has helped or resonated with someone that has read this! i hope you know that i say this with love & compassion, im certainly not trying to attack you, we're all mirrors to each other and only wish the most vibrant and beautiful life for you!

We can change the world by starting with ourselves, but claiming that we changed everyone around us is an ego is thought or statement. By not claiming it we have released ourselves from the guilt or responsibility that we are the only person who can change the world. It comes from a place of feeling the need for control. In our life, in others to feel like we do. It’s humbling and freeing to love the self and moving that love out to others. Then release it. Great job, Bec. We never stop working on ourselves or we stop growing.

I know Bec doesn’t read comments but maybe Eamon will. I genuinely care about them both and fully support Bec’s path to happiness/healing that she is clearly so passionate about. I have two issues: one, making big statements like “choose happiness” and “we are addicted to fear” is at least dismissive and privileged and at most demeaning and blind to the legitimate suffering, depression, struggle of the millions of people around the globe-and right here in our country who do not come from backgrounds of economic, social, familial, racial, ethnic etc. backgrounds that you do. “Choose happiness” to a person living in abject poverty, or “choose happiness” to a victim of abuse or trauma or “choose happiness” to a young person rejected and cast out by their families is as tone deaf as it gets. Two: I completely understand not reading comments as a way to preserve yourself against trolls and meanness and people here to hurt. But many people over the years have commented respectfully and with care about very valid concerns and to not respond to them in some way is disrespectful to your fans/followers who support and encourage you in your life and pursuits. Many neurodivergent people were brokenhearted by Bec’s attitudes in the last podcast interviewing Eamon, for example. Off the top of my head, many people, particularly Mexican people, were dismayed by your attempt to buy property in Mexico and had legitimate, valid things to say. Never answering is disrespectful and close minded. I will keep watching because you are clearly good people and can be funny, inspiring, warm, adventurous but I highly suggest you listen to your loving fans and address some of their concerns. It is getting increasingly difficult to listen and follow. All the best.

I really love the term Soul Family. The idea that we travel through lifetimes with a similar group of souls and we have an immediate connection/recognition of these souls when we meet them in this lifetime.

I absolutely adore you two, your podcast and your videos. I love your positivity. However, I am sceptical and a little bit concerned about the idea that someone can heal themselves from stage 4 cancer through meditation and positive thinking. As a biomedical scientist I’m well aware that mood, stress etc. affect many hormones and neurotransmitters in the body, but these alone will not prevent or cure cancer. Bec’s wonderful recovery over recent months is most likely due to ovariectomy and a huge drop in systemic oestrogen levels which were ‘feeding’ her tumours. This recovery is a wonderful sign and I wish you all the best as a family ❤

I just lost my best friend and kids father to cancer after a 5 year battle. He chose to rely on western medicine and I brought the light. It’s been a whirlwind trying to stay focused and in light with the new routine and life with my boys and I. Bec, you have been the love and voice that is soothing that void. I wish he had the faith in his body and soul but this is our story. I’ve been able to reach a student who lost a parent, so I know my purpose. I would not have looked for this reasoning if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for your strength and honesty. So much love 🤍
