more like we dont know our own limits so we just keep pushing and pushing and well, there are no limits except what you are willing to achieve. its based on the thinking that our world while a near paradise to us would have been hell to just about everyone else, and because of that we are more suited to doing great big things because we have a genetic motivation to do so as a survival mechanism. either that or i am way higher than i think i am.

I actually have a few ship names, Final Icon being a warship constructed by the American Empire as it collapsed, it fell at the Battle of Earth, holding back the fleets of the First Civilization until it’s armor scorched to ash, metal warped with heat and the crew resorted to firing at the enemy with their pistols. Stalwart Defence was the subject of a short story I wrote in high school about daily life onboard a space warship. Eternity Guard was the command ship of the first Coalition Fleet, as humanity fought off the Levithan. The name was reclaimed when the second Coalition (or the Coalition against Imperitor Xen) transitioned into the Confederation of Human Orion, as it remains a powerful symbol of human unity. Free Nation was the only capital-class warship under the command of the Free Chkari during the Liberation War, and basically the only Chkari-built warship fighting for the Confederation during the long conflict, as most spacecraft had a First Civilization attaché before the war. CAV Three Queens was the first contact ship between Humanity and the Chkari by accident. It rammed the Vladivostok at orbital velocity. Freebird is a cargo hauler under the Union of Orion. The space truck lugges enough material to support a couple hundred thousand people at any given time, using the membranous ‘sails’ cloned from the Levithan to remove itself from the universe in order to travel FTL.

Assuming the niche we've evolved into isn't the only or most common niche for the evolution of an intelligent species as apes capable of climbing and persistence hunting humans are likely better equipped for mountain climbing than most other sentient species, which makes "climbing the mountain of your military might" a very intimidating metaphor.
