Seriously, Becca, I just freakin love you! And I love your outlook on life, health, and body image. I SO enjoy your videos...and I’m 47 years old!! (I’m a hip 47 tho ha ha!) I jam with you on every single point you make, all the time...and wish we could somehow get people to ditch this diet culture garbage once and for all. I mean, when do we finally see it? How long over a span of decades will be enough proof? Keep the videos coming! Love them to pieces!! Especially the grocery shopping, and grocery hauls. I have three kids and a hubby, and I have always loved grocery shopping. I love that part of life; planning meals, and shopping for healthy food for my family. It makes me happy! (yep; I’m one of “those” subscribers lol) 😊

I really appreciate how often you say “for me.” It’s not often you see a KZbinr emphasize that their opinions are just that, their own opinions, not things that everyone should believe or abide by. It’s refreshing to see someone real on this site

Thank you for telling your viewers to eat carbs! Poor carbs get such a bad rep. I've heard people say "I'm trying to eat healthy so I'm eating less carbs" and I'm like nooooooo. I mean yes the donuts, pastries, yes not the best carbs and I understand not overindulging on those but when I hear people cutting fruits, healthy grains, and even some veggies due to the carb content drives me nuts!!

I would love to see a video about why not to cut out carbs and the risks related with doing so! I feel like it would be very informational during the current keto craze that's happening. I personally tried keto and within a week and a half started having all kinds of crazy side effects even a weird side stitch that lasted for around four days before I reintroduced carbs. Saw several doctors who ran tons of tests and we never figured out what it was. It only went away after I returned to a well balanced diet.

This is soooo important and I love your outlook on things. Especially your comment on carbs, I feel like many people focus too much on "low carb" diets or the other types of diet fads that they forget to eat raw, healthy and nutritious foods. Another great video!!!

I love your stance on health and listening to your body! I'm a recovering "dieter" (I used to be a hard core believer in a certain point-counting system until about 6 months ago when I realized that WHAT you put into your body is so much more important than HOW MUCH you put into your body). I eat SOOOO much more food now than I ever did while counting points and restricting myself, and I feel so much better when I fill my body with lean meats, healthy fats, healthy carbs, fruits and vegetables. Bonus - I actually lost 5 pounds really easily when I dropped the diet mentality!

This was sooo good, I agree completely, I feel like dieting is just terrible for a life style change. I try to eat healthy the majority of the time, and treat myself here and there. I love your videos, and I have made so many of your quick recipes and love every one I try. I get so excited every time I see one of your videos pop up!

Since watching your videos I have actually changed my weight loss plans. I was counting macros and yes I ate what I wanted as long as it fit into those numbers but matching four numbers everyday was quite a task for me. Now of course with wanting to lose weight you have to cut your calories but I have since chosen to follow that as well as an overall goal of eating a good source of protein with every meal. So guess what?! I’ve now lost six pounds and am satisfied and happy with the foods I eat everyday. So thank you. It’s not easy and everyone needs different things but I am certainly feeling good

Hi Becca! I love your channel. I recently discovered it and I am a fan. Could you soon do a video on Autoimmune diseases? I have Hashimoto's and my Naturopath wants me to be on a Autoimmune Paleo diet(AIP protocol). I haven't followed her counsel because its so restrictive but my health is so poor currently. Its hard to have so many restrictions. I currently dont follow any diet, i just eat whatever i want... i know, not the wises choice. Please make a video about this. Thank you. Many blessings your way!

I would love to hear your thoughts on the Keto diet. I always hear mixed opinions on it, I've heard some people say it was great for weight loss. But aren't carbs important? Also I know that Fats are also very important but I heard that high amounts of Fats impairs work-out performance. I'd love to know what the truth is about Keto!

you should do a video on the stuff you "used to eat" (as a kid/teen/young adult- whenever the "before" was for you in terms of "before you knew about all the health-and-nutrition-stuff you know of now and live by).....and then show what you now enjoy to satisfy these same underlying food prefernces [[for example, say you used to love to eat boxed mac n cheese without second thought as a little kid, but now as an older, more knowledged adult you enjoy and satisfy that "cheesy-noodley" craving with homemade, organic cheese and mushroom risotto]] thats just an example so you know what im trying to explain for my video suggestion :)

How about how your body changes in your 50s and your hormones change! Yuck! I try to eat healthy and it can get out of control unfortunately because of all the changes I have been through. I exercise, I eat great all day and then nights kill me! Lol. Help with that would help too. Ideas?

I know you're not paleo, but I think you would like reading Wired To Eat by Robb Wolf. It's like if Intuitive Eating and the Paleo Diet had a baby lol. It's super informative but aimed more toward people with preexisting health conditions, which you might find interesting working in the nutrition field.

Ok, but what if you need to lose weight? You have a lovely body and I get the impression you’ve never struggled with your weight? All this advice seems like common sense, which is great and of course often overlooked. But, on paper I really need to lose weight - despite eating well (starting to grow my own veg, woo!) and exercising (could do more,, I’m at the regular 5k kind of level) I’m around 215lbs at the moment. I know I’m currently completely healthy at the moment, aside from the number on the scale, but I’m concerned about weight related things in the future eg arthritis etc. I loooove your attitude, so refreshing 🤗 I watch all your videos and implement a lot of what you say but I’m struggling (have been for my whole life!) and wonder if you can help.
@RosesareRed386 жыл бұрын
House of Hutton I would ignore her advice. I've got PCOS and I need to lose like 24lbs and for that I have to count my calories. And guess what? I eat lower carb, higher fat and protein for satiety. Carbs are fine in small amounts for me but not everyone can eat them in abundance like she says. I'll stick to my calorie counting low carb diet cause is working better than last year when i was eating intuitively and gaining weight.
@caitporter_246 жыл бұрын
Just becasue she is a nutritionist doesn't make her an expert on YOUR body. Only you can know what works best for you. Healthy doesn't always = weight loss, unfortunately. Her channel pretty much shuns weight loss. If you need to lose weight, I'd look for advice else where.
@RosesareRed386 жыл бұрын
Corinne Lewis yes I don’t like how she is so black and white about diets. Yes diet culture and eating disorders are on the rise etc but there are plenty of healthy dieters too. She’s making dieting sound so bad and look how skinny she is and how less she eats. I can’t control my appetite. I eat healthy too. Yet if I ate intuitively I would be eating 2500+ calories everyday which is a recipe for fat gain. Sigh. Sick of seeing these skinny girls preaching about intuitive eating when they’ve never really battled with weight their entire lives.
@johnverdone83116 жыл бұрын
I used to feel the same and say the same as you. I have struggled with weight my whole life and I now IE. Heres the honest truth, you can't control your appetite because you try to control it. Your body always knows what it needs, when you hit the amount of calories your body needs at whatever time, it sends signals to stop eating. Dieting teaches us not to listen to our bodies, that we can't be trusted around foods and we would just spend all day eating pizza and chips. There is honestly NO such thing as a healthy dieter. PS. LOTS of "healthy skinny" women eat well over what calorie counters say they need and they do not gain fat. My sister and mum for example both eat enough to gain a pound a week by a calorie counter and they do not. The body knows what to do.

Definitely some things are left better kept to yourself. How would you feel if i commented on your Instagram photo and said ‘wow you look different, you must’ve gained weight or your pregnant.” You’d probably not feel too good about yourself. So why comment that on someone’s video who films videos of themselves and puts it on the internet for millions of people to see
