Another variation drop the cheese and add 1/8 cup (with beaten egg in a bowl, and ur bacon you can top cooked waffle with shredded cheese if u like)of PorQ Panko Crumbs. The crumbs gives it the texture of a regular waffle. I got tired of making 2 so I bought the double griddle for belgian waffles it wasn't too bad on Amazon.

I just bought a waffle iron for the first time in my life! Had NO IDEA what could be made on it - but already made chaffle "bread" and it was AMAZING. I recommend using a SILICONE utensil, not a fork like I used in this video. I've switched to a silicone utensil since this video! 😉 Also, I'm well aware that Velveeta is very processed. I believe in everything in moderation. But you can definitely swap it out for something of your choice. ;) Also, Check out my sandwich version here: Bacon, egg, and cheese hash brown chaffle sandwich: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZKvoIGGl6tmrMU

My waffle maker instructions said not to use aprays on them and if it smokes to throw the food idea idk if that's just in the beginning or all the time ? Advice ?
@PlanningUsHealthy2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I'm not sure about that. I'm definitely no expert on it. I'm assuming as far as cooking spray, it's kind of like the air fryer - they say not to use commercial cooking spray on it. Since this video, I've changed a few things - I use silicone utensils now. I also try to use regular olive oil in my spritzer or sprayer, if possible. As far as the smoke, I think if it's really smoking, then something may be wrong with it. But just regular steam like you would get from pancakes on a griddle, I think that's normal. But again, just my opinion, so definitely go with whatever research you find on it. ;)

Mix the egg in a bowl first to break the yolk so you don’t scratch the non stick surface with a fork

Thanks! I actually switched to a silicone utensil since this video. 😉

Here in 🇨🇦, we don’t have anything called Canadian bacon. What you used is called back bacon here. Weird.
@PlanningUsHealthy Жыл бұрын
It is weird! I heard that it's because back bacon from the loin originated in Canada, so it became known as Canadian bacon here in the US, compared to our fatty bacon from the pork belly. Crazy how it gets named things. LOL

this would work better in the Dash mini griddle.

I may need to invest in one of those! :)

It does work better in the Dash mini griddle. Just made this the other morning. Make sure to beat the egg meat mixture before putting it on the buttered or oiled grill. Easy clean up.
