I remember this concert, it was in 98 on Lisbon Colosseum and Beck played a killer setlist on an awsome show! It was some months before Mutations release and I remember he played Debra from the 1999 Midnight Vultures, and amazing versions of looser, beercan, high 5...

Shit! I went to this concert and it was simply amazing. Full house, hot weather, every body going crazy, dancing throughout the show... Basically more like a huge party rather than a concert. Beck always loved to play in Portugal because of this, great atmosphere, no fights, everybody having fun. Simply unforgettable! How I miss these concerts in Lisbon Coloseum...

Mutations is my favorite album, and this song shows the range of Beck's talent!!! I quit going to concerts a few years ago, but I'd kill to see him live, especially in a smaller venue...

this is great, he looks happy. A lot of live clips of Beck, he doesn't look present, or like the stage sound isn't very good. He's really having fun! Thanks sound guys.

Why discuss his religion, that is his choice. It is his music that counts here. He is giving us his art to enjoy not his private life. A man like Beck is free to create and select his own decisions without caring what others think. I like to have power over my own choices too and do not need to get approval from others either.

Brilliant Artists like Beck (like his Uncle) usually can float above all the man made spiritual structured dogma. I was VERY surprised he went into Scientology, now he can share quality time with the likes of Tom Cruise and John Travolta. COME ON BECK

yeah i agree. I really like when he does that kind of bossa nova style. but I also like his hip-hop/big band/pop stuff like midnight vultures album. I don't know so much about the information..there are good parts of some songs, but mostly just noise...
@Jellysauce18 жыл бұрын
that was actually a pretty cool song.
@gui.gaspar15 жыл бұрын
the funny thing is that there is a kind of bossa nova beat, but the name of the song is Tropicalia, wich is a diferent musical moviment. And It has some topicalia caracteristics, so its not exactly contraditory.

By the way, this song that is more um samba-rock, a 60's post-bossa-nova style. Bossa Nova is a 50's style and Tropicália, 60's.

@orangevideo18 жыл бұрын
Don't get me wrong, I adore Beck....but don't state that he can't help the situation because he was born into it. Scientology is a modern religeous cult started by a Science fiction writer in which you have to get rid of the REACTIVE mind and ultimately become a "clear". Its cloaked in secrecy, and is super vindictive to those who quit/expose the inner secrets. Beck may not champion his religeous views, and I think that is a good thing. His art speaks volumes, and much respect for that! -peace
