I'd love to see a Beck video in the style of Wes Anderson, directed by Beck, starring Wes Anderson as Beck.

underrated tune. Nihilistic lyricism laced through and through with that funk.On the one hand Beck is celebrated, on the other hand I rarely read actual insightful analysis on the true nature of his achievements. He did it. Carved a place into the eternal stone where the interested will forever congregate. Beck's work will burn in that eternal flame

Well I'm a sea-sick sailor on a ship of noise I got my maps all backwards and my instincts poisoned In a truth-blown gutter full of wasted years Like blown-out speakers ringin' in my ears Oh, it's nausea, oh nausea, and we're gone It's nausea, oh nausea, and we're gone I'm a straight-line walker with a black-out room I push a shopping cart over in an Aztec ruin With my minion fingers working for some god Who could see his own reflection in a parking lot Oh, it's nausea, oh nausea, and we're gone It's nausea, oh nausea, and we're gone Now I'm a priest teenager on a tower of dust I'm a dead generator in a cloud of exhaust In a long-living desert with skulls for my pets I rate the days, one to ten, with lead cigarettes Oh, it's nausea, oh nausea, and we're gone Nausea, oh nausea, and we're gone

02:07 I wonder what this phone number is for. The Wikipedia page for 555 numbers says "Only 555-0100 through 555-0199 are now specifically reserved for fictional use; the other numbers have been reserved for actual assignment" which implies that 555-4552 has an actual assignment, and the video zooms in on it. The TV Tropes page for Beck mentions the number in a sentence, but without any explanation.
