Beckie Jane Brown could you do a video about your perfumes and what you have and if you use oils, what do you use them for? Also hauls are great
@beckiejbrown6 жыл бұрын
Before anyone else comments, yes - I'm aware that the switch above the door could be the fan switch. The reason why I've not clicked it before, is that it's identical to all the radiator switches around the flat. So I assumed it was the radiator switch! All good and thank you for trying to help! :D xx

THE SWITCH ABOVE YOUR BATHROOM DOOR SHOULD TURN THE FAN OFF!!!
@romyevans986 жыл бұрын
Fairly sure the switch right at the top above the bathroom is for the fan, so you can turn it off if it’s too loud, that’s what it’s like for me anyway
@beckiejbrown6 жыл бұрын
I'll test it a little later on. The switch itself is identical to all the radiator switches around the flat, which has confused us. There is a radiator in there, so I assumed it was for that. Perhaps not! I know the previous people played with the electrics are one point, perhaps buttons have been swapped over! :(

You should get a little rubber mat to go under the litter so they dont track litter on their paws. Also, the audio in this video is amazingly good. I thought you were narrating over at some parts but you wernt. This has given me some storage ideas for my own place. Im jealous at how big this place is! wow.

Whoaaaaa, you *bought* the flat!? Congrats!!! So so happy for you! :) would love it if you could make a video explaining how you found the right flat/set up mortgage/everything involved with finding a place etc etc. Hoping also to make the transition from renting to buying at some point post-University
@pockrocks35246 жыл бұрын
She actually said already that all the financial stuff is a point of anxiety for her because she has some guilt about taking a free house from her parents and not being able to support herself properly, so I don't think she's going to address it, which is a shame for her fans who need advice for this sort of thing
@SqueakCode6 жыл бұрын
Pock Rocks has she said that in this video or a different one? I assumed the financial anxiety was to do with rent or mortgages and to be fair, it isn't really our business :) I was mostly curious because I freelance too and I know getting a mortgage as a freelancer is notoriously hard and was definitely interested in tips and tricks if she had bought the flat! But I also know people who have received help from their family alongside Help To Buy and I don't view it as a bad thing either - housing is so expensive!
@pockrocks35246 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree. She talked about paying for the house in a previous video or else a live stream, can't remember exactly sorry
@beckiejbrown6 жыл бұрын
Pock Rocks Woah. The following is untrue: 'parents gave me a free house'. There is no need to spark off rumours because you feel like it. You’re always writing false statements to my followers, it's petty. I'm just anxious at the moment as I’m on the breadline, whilst I’m trying to gain long-term employment. Freelancing and working on temporary contracts whilst paying a mortgage IS stressful. I’m not stressed because this isn’t my property and I'm racked with guilt - that’s what you believe and are sharing around. This is my property, my mortgage, my name on the registry. As for help - anyone who is able to buy nowadays has financial support or help of some kind. Every couple at my Bible group have had financial support from family to purchase their homes. It's a privilege, one that we all recognise, myself included - hence my gratitude. I'm immensely humbled and grateful to be here for the support and also because I worked to get here. There’s lots of reasons for not talking about the whole process as it's going on - especially when we work on social media - privacy is vital. It’s the most stressful thing I’ve done in my life. I nearly didn’t make it at the end. Could you imagine talking about buying in depth for two years in front of thousands and right at the end having your mortgage declined? All there for the world to see. People usually don’t talk about it unless they are assured they’ll make it. However, now I’m in - I can talk more about it - I've made it. I know some KZbinrs do extensive finance talks or talk through the process, but that's not me. I’m not comfortable talking about my finances, I’m sure you wouldn’t be either. Overall, this is my achievement and as I keep saying, I’m hugely humbled and grateful to be in this position. I won’t have people like you try and sully this - you’ve no idea what you’re talking about. Xx

Apology? For you're constantly out to make me look a bad person... Evidently, your remarks and rumours are unfounded.

Integrated appliances that aren’t working: check for the switches somewhere around the work surfaces. By rights they should be located near the appliance, however sometimes they are the other side of the room. When you locate them, there will be a fuse block either above or below the switch, sometimes also a light. If the switch is on and no light check the fuse. If the switch is on and no power switch it off and check the fuse. If still no joy get a sparky to just check they are plugged in... or just get new. The switch above bathroom door 🚪 s the switch for the fan. Cool flat by the way. By the way you ARE gorgeous, snap on the desk (I think I subconsciously picked it after seeing it in your channel), fans could be replaced for quieter units (cost about 90 a piece) and by the way... your cats are soooo sweet.

I am. I know lots of people will shame my flat for not being up to the standard they expect... but for me, I'm more than happy. I truly am thankful that it's all kicked off and we're moving forwards. There are some teething problems and a few issues I didn't expect, but it's going well! The curtain pole has come down now, I swapped it with the other pole.... which is stronger. They are both adjustable ones, but the other one seems to hold. My Dad is going to come and see if he can plaster the wall to make the holders more secure! I'll be safe in no time!! :DD

Ahh, your new place is so nice and spacious! Congrats! I recently moved in to a new place as well, and had lots of little things to fix, too. Have you heard of mouldable glue, sugru? It has been really handy for fixing little things, and I actually made some hooks for my bathroom with it as well. I think you might like it, as you can be really creative with it! This is in no way an advert btw, it just came to my mind whilst watching this video, haha! Again, I am so happy for you and I hope you have a lovely time in your new home! x

Congrats on the new home! Thank you for sharing with us! For the sunlight and draft from the window I can recommend Ikeas blackout curtains. My bed is in the living room next to a big balcony so I would get blinded by the light all the time if I didn't have them, and they do help with a draft some too! They are not the prettiest however, I would layer something cute on top. Hope the noise stays low. I also struggle with that!

Hang in there and be patient with yourself. I have been in my home since Dec 2 of 2016....so just over a year, and I still don't have dining furniture, my guest room properly set up, or atwork in the living room, guest room, or everything for the dining room. It'll take time and make sure to purchase things you truely love, even if it takes you a bit longer to get it. Your home should be your sanctuary. Congrats!! It looks like an amazing flat!

Beckie, my partners house also has those fans and dear god the are so agitating. Luckily one day I was going for a bath and happened to find a switch outside the bathroom which can turn the fan off completely while keeping the light on. Although now I come to think of it, it's possibly only the one with the window that has that ability. I must have a nose at the downstairs one. Anyway, just a thought. Keep an eye out, you might have one.
