You could put aluminum foil in the bottom of your oven for less cleanup. Then when the foil gets dirty you just change it. That’s what i do and it works great. Also Adaline is just so adorable.

Suggestion for the stuff hanging around the bottom of the stairs: they make a basket that will sit on the bottom steps or you can just get a cute bucket or basket to sit off to the side and during the day as you come across things that need to go upstairs you put it in the basket and at the end of the night take it up and put everything away, my kids even really enjoy doing this task.

For most ovens, removing the door is as simple as opening the door to the first "stop" as if you were going to use the broiler, then grab the sides, and lift the door straight up off of the hinge brackets. It should come off fairly easily. The door is hefty but not super heavy. To put it back on, just reverse the process. Caution! Those hinges are powerful! Be very careful to not let one close on a finger or something. I always put a piece of folded cardboard in the gap to keep the hinges from snapping closed until I'm ready to put the door back on. Hope this helps and works for your model.

I’m a once a month oven cleaner, sometime a little longer. I’m struggling now with jobs like oven cleaning and window cleaning as it sets my neck ache off so maybe it will become every 3/6 months. I do however put dirty dishes in my dishwasher but clean the filter after every use it only takes a second. My view is everyone should do what makes them happy there are no rules about cleaning, whatever works for you. You have a beautiful home and family x

The scientific answer to your dishwasher questions is your dishwasher is designed to wash your dishes, and the heat from the drying cycle is hot enough to sanitize your dishes. You are correct about the filter needing cleaning periodically. That is what everyone is supposed to do. But the debris goes to the bottom of the dishwasher before the drying cycle starts, so your dishes are fine. Most people scrape their plates. Many rinse their plates. But if you wash your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, you don't need a dishwasher. I'm old enough that I did not have a dishwasher until my kids were teenagers. I was not about to let a dishwasher make more work for me than I was already doing. I also wash my pots and pans by hand.
@KLA27895 ай бұрын
100% agree with this. Wash pots and pans by hand, everything else gets rinsed (not prewashed) and loaded in the dishwasher!
@DawnStafford-ez4mp5 ай бұрын
Agree. Rinse plates, glasses, cups, etc. Hand wash pots and pans and good knives. Also, I hand wash my insulated tumblers like Yeti’s and Stanley’s. I read that when you run them through the dishwasher it destroys the layer in the middle that insulates.
@p0up0un34 ай бұрын
The middle layer is actually void in insulated container. But it's right that dishwashers can disrupt that void so it's not void anymore, and it doesn't do the job anymore...

Don’t you get money for your kid? In Sweden at least we have a system that allows parents to children under 16 years old to get “child benefits” it’s around 113 dollars for each child❤
@sofiabrandt79474 ай бұрын
But I do understand if that’s not enough besides the rest of your income. I like how you reflect over it and don’t just get more kids when you’re unsure about the budget. You’re doing great❤
@Becky_Moss4 ай бұрын
Great question! First, it’s important to remember that everyone’s budget looks a little different. We typically buy the same groceries about every 2 weeks with small changes here and there depending on what I’m making of course! A big expense is meat, we decided it would be more cost effective to buy an organic, grass fed, pasture raised quarter cow from a local farm. It’s also important to me to buy organic, which does costs a little more. Ultimately, it depends what your family eats and how much they eat! My kids love fruits and veggies! Which is nice, because they’re very affordable and almost never go bad in my house! Local farmers markets are a great option to find affordable produce! As far as clothing, we shop for clothes in the fall, and in the spring, that’s it! I try my best to steer away from holiday clothing, as it’s just a big extra expense, as cute as that stuff is, it’s not worth it in my opinion! I’m not perfect though, and sometimes the cuteness wins, and I will get a matching set! 😆 If you have any specific questions, you can message me on Instagram and I’m happy to chat! 🫶🏼

I have to admit I'm still blown away a little bit with the technology these days. I'm only 52 but obviously was around before all of these things existed. I thought it was crazy that I could have my phone attached to my car speaker system. 😆 I can't believe how big the baby is already! I hear you about the toys. My kids are all in their 20s now but I used to do the same thing. I would organize the toys, I even had labels on the bins so they knew where things went, and most of the time the toys were just all over the floor. I guess in the grand scheme of things that's what it's supposed to be about because in the blink of an eye it's not there anymore. Always look forward to your videos and can't wait for the next one! Have a happy and safe 4th with your family. 🎆

To control the toys, you should tell people to stop gifting toys... Rather a book or clothes, something they need (tooth brush ? Alarm clock? A new bike? ), or an experience (museum? A day at the beach ? An amusement Park?) ... Or money to save so they have some funds when they start their own house... Also 1 big gift, where every guest pitch in instead of every one bringing 1 thing 😊
