Really been liking watching your grocery hauls and what's for dinners, its nice to see a different take on it as the meals are so very different as well. 50 pounds is a pretty good shop, I live in Australia and because I don't always eat meat, I can usually get away with spending $20 - $30, sometimes less than $15.00 depending on whats in season as well. The original source products as well are amazing and they are vegan and cruelty free I have the vanilla and rasberry shower milk and it smells awesome.

Hey Becky, just to continue my Canadian comparison my gf bread is $8.99, 2 free range chicken breast $4 to $6, maple syrup would have cost $9( I live in maple country). I think when we are in the UK in the fall we will be bringing home a suitcase of food lol. Obviously not the perishable stuff.

That sounds ridiculous for the maple syrup! Saying that though, what size container are we talking for that price? We only seem to have very small bottles here in uk. If its same as we have stock up on that whilst you're here!

A bit like Aldi, but not as caotic, your lucky to find a Gluten Free section the one near me does not , I asked once and got total blank from the guy who worked there, its not a shop I go in much, just find the non shop stuff outways the food, which is fine if that's what you want, one section my hubby likes is the fresh bread as you go in it allways smells so nice, hope your well xxx

That's such a shame, I feel quite lucky with my Lidl now!! It's a not a lot, but just being able to buy gf pasta there means I dont have to go to another supermarket at some point. The fresh bread and cakes always look/smell so nice 😂 It's not fair!! xxx

Do not buy meat in Lidl not unless you want to cook it there and then as like most of you you will probably throw out your receipt after you've unpacked it if the joint you bought was un-edible the store manager will tell you you may have stolen it if you don't have a receipt . As every thief knows you must cook the joint for 2-hours before returning the meat and rapper to the shop so you can con them out of £8.38 (true story) Steve Melksham wilts s
