I was just diagnosed at the start of the week and felt completely hopeless about ever eating anything again. Your channel has made such a difference as I'm starting out on this journey. I spent over an hour in the supermarket today reading product labels but eventually came away with some suitable stock cubes and curry powder. I had to go to the indian section and buy my curry powder in a huge bag but it was well worth it.

Love your recipes, just recently diagnosed with celiac so I am looking for new recipes. I am curious why garlic infused oil does not bother you?
@BeckyExcell5 жыл бұрын
It's because the parts of garlic we can't tolerate don't seep out into the oil - it just flavours the oil. Hope that makes sense! x

Maybe freeze curry paste in icecube trays then pop into food bags when frozen 😁

Becky you look so lovely in this video, so pretty. I don’t have IBS but I just stumbled across your Channel a few months ago when you did your bedroom transformation and I was just hooked after that!

For a Chinese flavour for stirfry or fried rice I use: toasted Sesame Oil, grated ginger, GF Oyster sauce, garlic infused oil, spring onion tops and some sort of sugar available. Before serving dish I mix heaps of lemon juice through. Sweet, salty, sour and heat from Ginger. But it's definately the toasted sesame oil that gives the Chinese flavour. Coeliac/IBS diet.

Which brand of ginger paste, lemon grass paste, chilli paste & asafoetida do you use please? (I assume the ones you use are low FODMAP?) Thanks in advance and thank you for the fab videos! X

How long do these stay good in the fridge and freezer? When I make diy stuff I like to throw a postit note or tape and write down a best buy date.
@BeckyExcell5 жыл бұрын
We keep everything in the freezer for 1-2 months, but probably around 5 days in the fridge for everything else x

Do you ever measure the amount of tomato paste/chopped tomato per serving? They're not necessarily recommended in high amounts according to Monash and you seem to eat quite a lot of it!
@BeckyExcell5 жыл бұрын
It's super important to be careful of serving size with tomatoes in the elimination phase of the low FODMAP diet for definite! But we've both successfully introduced chopped tomatoes successfully and (fingers crossed!) continue to do so. Hope that makes sense x

Love your videos!! I'm in the US so a few of your ingredient names are confusing 🤔 I want to make your Chili Con Carne tonight for dinner and your recipe says to add stock, but it doesn't say what type of stock. Is it beef or chicken? Thanks! ❤
