Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize! Your family and your health are so much more important than your business. Always. These guys who have nothing else to do but source and list and source and list do not represent all resellers. Everyone of us is unique in our lifestyle, our social situation, our family situation, our location, our financial situation, etc. We each have to determine what comes first and recognize that most of us can't do it all. I love your content and your positivitiy, Becky!

Ahhhh thank you! And you’re right-it’s always so important to take context into consideration. What you see as someone’s example may be impossible because they are in a different life stage or have different circumstances. Great point!

You are spot on with so many of these! There is no one way to resell, you have to find what works for you, and enjoy it! Our 2025 is going to look way different than this year. Finding a community is very important. When we find other resellers we connect with, it is very refreshing, motivating, and inspiring. We are all about helping others and celebrating their success. Happy New Year!

@@FreewayFlippers yay for making loves and changes in 2025. And yes-community can be what keeps resellers motivated and on the cusp of what’s new in reselling. Wishing you guys all the success in 2025 ❤️

Great video Becky! I heartily agree with #1. There are too many commenters telling resellers that they shouldn't do certain things, like resell things that aren't highly profitable even though the resellers are fine with the low profit. If the reseller enjoys it, then let them take low profits. Not all resellers are reliant on resale income, so if they enjoy selling something that isn't highly profitable, then who's to say they shouldn't keep doing it. Now, if the reseller is complaining about low profit or is asking for advice on how to make more money, then those types of comments could be helpful, but in many cases I've seen it is just commenters trying to push their own metrics onto other resellers. The best change I made in 2024 was to be more selective in my sourcing. This is just a side hustle for me, so I don't want to increase my deathpile with things I won't enjoy cleaning or listing or shipping. Even if it's profitable, I'll just leave it behind for the other resellers in town. I'm not setting any reselling goals for 2025 because I have a some big non-reselling projects that I need to prioritize.

Yes!!! Health is the most important thing… we have to take care of ourselves if we want to take care of our family… I’m Korean too and when I started reselling there were some people in my community that gave me a side look and honestly it did affect me a bit. But, I kind of got over it because I love what I’m doing even if it’s just part time. Hope you have an amazing 2025!!!

My favorite video of yours by far!! I so appreciate your honesty and don't act like you know everything. I was reselling as FT for over 8 yrs and this year I went PT and got a FT job. It's hard balancing both so I really appreciate your content. I love reselling so I won't ever stop but like you, I also don't take care of myself since it's working 2 jobs and having kids! Ty for being so real❤

Thank you for the real talk! I'm a part time reseller and have a full time job. My goal is to make money... whether it's $5-20 profit, I'm happy with it. My biggest takeaway from 2024 is to do better than MYSELF the previous month. As long as my numbers are improving month to month, I'm happy and encouraged! The challenge to profit $10 off of a $1 item is fun for me! Thanks again for sharing! Have a Happy New Year! 🎉

you're a choir teacher?! That's awesome. I restarted my poshmark this year to sell items for a high school I work with's theatre department/choir teacher who had so much stuff they wanted to clear out and I wanted to prevent just everything going to the landfill. They had so much good stuff, including 80's designers and NWT items that they never used. I've only listed half of their stuff so far because they just gave me so much. I love supporting fellow music people. I have a degree in music and work with a marching band, but ended up becoming a social studies teacher (just weren't music jobs when I graduated 10 years ago).

My lesson for 2024 is less is more. I started the year out overflowing with inventory and constantly trying to find items i sold. I made an effort to bring my inventory down from 1650 items to 1100 and everything is running so smoothly. Less lost items and less chaos in my house. When i feel like im getting too much, i pull some items and consign or take to buy sell trade stores.

I started reselling in March and one of my biggest take aways has been to just do it - do it even if you’re scared. I loved Poshmark but was super nervous about eBay and one of your videos this past spring was so encouraging that I took the plunge! It was clunky at first - super slow for sales and I was scammed once but I persevered and now eBay is one of my best platforms 🎉 (Will forever be true to Posh but so so so glad I threw eBay in the mix)

I think one of my biggest takeaway's from 2024 will be to think before I buy. I want to source better quality products that will earn a larger return. I will be working on implementing that in 2025. I think if I were to "ask for something" it will be more followers! lol and by the way I LOVE to garden! I have my other YT channel "Two Acres In Texas" but haven't posted much in the past year. I definitely learned to take KZbinrs' advice with a grain of salt -- especially after I bought $750 on wholesale inventory from my then-favorite reseller only to get severely flawed (period stained!) items. Only 10 of of the 150 items were listable -- the rest went to the trash or were donated. I still love watching reselling content (just not hers, haha), but I don't take their word as capital T-R-U-T-H just because they appear to be more successful than me. On that note: I have an aunt who quit her job to resell after hearing secondhand about my "success." I think she's doing fine, but it was so scary knowing that she took such a huge risk because of me - as a result, I'm trying to be more transparent and not romanticize reselling (even though I do love it).

Profit is profit made no matter how much you make, if you get $1.00 in profit, then you are ahead of the game not loosing. $4.00-$5.00 made in profit, not bad, Now you are able to go out and invest that money and turn over even more profit ($8.00-$10) because you doubled that that $4.00-$5.00. Meanwhile that guy who made the comment is most likely waiting for a sale. Time is money. A realtor does not want a listing to go stagnant, they want to sell fast. What us resellers do is no different.
