Check in your community to see if charities will pick up your leftover items. In our community Restore (by Habitat for Humanity) will pick up.

Went to sell name brand items to Plato's, new with tags. They declined all the items, yet while waiting I walked the aisles and saw dirty, worn, raggedy shoes with holes being sold. Huh?! They offered me $1 for an Aldo Bellini purse new with tags. 😂 Will never set foot in there again.

Thank you so much. I just ordered my first resell lot and I’m so excited. I’ve been researching for a few months now, along with some other avenues,(drop ship, KDP), and this just seemed more my thing. At least for now just this one. Hehe

Great information! I’m trying to sell a bunch of vintage concert tees. It’s difficult to determine pricing, so I’m currently trying to get top dollar. Bad strategy?
@beckyparkco3 күн бұрын
@@ThePittsburghToddy if you’re ok with holding on to them, not a bad strategy at all! It might take awhile, but if they’re desirable shirts, they’ll sell at some point. Are you on depop? I’d try depop, eBay, and poshmark.

I've been a huge fans of yours. I do want to say however as someone who has researched Whatnot they still have approximately 75% of their live sellers averaging $1-$7 per sale with only 1-10 viewers (or bidders) per show. More than happy to send you the info. I think an almost $3k net is great but if you do the math you are averaging $4.27 net profit per item which I'm assuming is before supplies and taxes? Even if not, that is a lot of work for less than $5.

Wow Becky...so much work in such a congested amount of time. Really interested in the true bottom line figures. I use FLYP to input all my sales in and it calcs for me I just put in the sale price, the COG, and the fee...and it calcs and adds to the graph chart of my sales. I know you have a LOT to go through though. I don't think I'd EVER do 10 days of shows...nope. I haven't been on whatnot. But interesting how your other things sold too. And nice that some of your things sold for a decent amount as well. Now...what was I going to say? Hmm. Oh...did you have any "giveaways"...maybe you said and I missed it. And how long was each item up for sale? I heard its like 15 S, 30 S, 45 S, 1 min? I haven't been on it but watched Crazy Lamp Lady sale once. Ok well, just curious. MAYBE one day I might give a try.

What WERE the selling fees? Ebay is pretty steep now @ 13% something. Why not split a reasonable percentage between buyer and seller. I'm ok with returns if the platform covers return shipping.

So when you're giving your net sales, you're not including platform fees, you're just deducting your COG. When you post numbers in your thumbnail, is this a true net profit? I ask because it is so discouraging to me as a reseller. I don't know how you have enough time to source so many items. I source two-three times a week and I am lucky to find 50 items to sell. How do you source such a large quantity? How many items do you list each day/week? And lastly are you saying doing haul YT videos help sell items? I am not on YT but have been thinking about doing it. I just get so frustrated .... social media can be misleading and it makes me feel like I am failing when I see everyone else making so much money. I am happy for everyone, but I still can't help but feel like I am doing something wrong. 😕
@beckyparkco5 күн бұрын
@@bajacowgirl3170 sorry-I should have mentioned-my net IS after fees as well. It’s after EVERYTHING. I try to list at least 5 items a day, and while I do like to go to goodwills and thrift stores, I try to hit up consignment stores or buy sell trades stores when they’re running huge clearances so I can get a lot at once. I’ve also purchased reseller buyouts.
@theadventuresoflenaann88385 күн бұрын
Not a suggestion - just a thought. If you feel like you’re failing, maybe try doing something different instead of blaming other people’s success for how you feel. 🤷♀️
@MakingEndsMeet_JudysStopNShop4 күн бұрын
when did you start selling? How many items a week do you list? How active is your store, do you run sales do you do promotions do you end listings on a regular basis and relist them? it takes time to do well on eBay for most people. And they say there's a sweet spot between 300 and 600 listings (more people say 600 listings seems to make eBay take you as a eBay seller more seriously)... these are individual listings not multi quantity listings. Going by the size of your store (# of active listings and reviews) it looks like you're just getting started, give yourself some time. consistency is the number one issue with 98% of resellers. If you are not consistently doing some thing in your store it just doesn't do well it's like you disappear your things disappear and nobody even sees them you are a ghost if you are not actively listing promoting having sales ending and relisting it's a whole deal (you have to feed the beast) eBay is not easy and it's not fast money it is a grind. The process is simple the difficult part is having self-discipline to be consistent. I am horrible at being consistent with list but love to source 😅 but that is not a good combo because I have a huge deathpile 😱
