What a super lesson. Sometimes it’s good to be reminded to work on the basics rather than getting carried away trying to emulate the fancy stuff. I’m going to start the lesson from scratch, step by step just as you suggest

It's really worth. I did the same after my music studies. I learnt myself to play and feel quarter notes and skipped the fancy runs. They came back later but then they eere precise.

I used to play bass so this comes easier for me. I tend to nod my head rather than tap my foot but your absolutely right, you've gotta have the " Feel"
