Amen, my sister in the faith. Praise God for you. During my time in undergrad I had difficulty trying to find my purpose. I always knew I wanted to become a counselor but I also wanted to profess my faith as well. But as you stated plainly in your video, being rooted in our faith helps us to have that Christian discipline to know, that what ever client walks through the door if asked we can share with them the goodness of Jesus. And that what makes us a Christian therapist. 🙌🏿

I just looked at your site. It doesn't look to me like you get a state recognized license to practice counseling. You just get CEU credit. Sounds to me like like a scam.

Hey! I’m an undergrad and the Lord told me He wants to make me a Christian counselor! I wanted to know if you think doing any internships is a good idea? Or will I get hands on experience along the way as I get my masters ?

Hey! Your Masters program should have a semester focused on internship. Internship is an important part of your training. You would most likely need internship hours before graduating with your masters. Hope this helps! God bless!

Thank you for this. I am a retired Marine who is halfway through my undergrad in psychology. I plan ok getting a Master in Clinical counseling after this. It seems like you started your own counseling service. Can one do so without having a doctorate? Also, my school is California Baptist Univeristy. Is it hard to get a job in the "Christian" counseling world after education and licensure? Does a Chritsian counseling world even exist? Seems most jobs would be secular. Thanks!

Absolutely! The admissions counselor of the university you are interested in pursuing your masters, will tell you additional courses you “may” need to take to get into their counseling program.

I do need help. I'm working towards my LPC under supervision and encouraged to not mention I want to be a Christian Counselir. This Monday I had to endure a group supervision clas on incorporating pronouns and how to cater to transgender clients. I need help. I'm going to be the presenter next month and I need to know how to be equipped and how to stand as not only a Christian but a Christian Counselir to go forward in the path He is calling me to. Standing in God and His word as I face what I'm facing today. Anything will be helpful!

Hello Veronica! It all depends on what the college you hope to attend offers. A BS or BA in Psychology are both appropriate first steps in becoming a counselor/therapist.
