I have a hair collider tag applied to my character but the hair still passes through the model. Any ideas on why this happens? I'm using R23.

What version of Cinema 4D are you using ? there have been issues with Hair which were fixed in the December update.

Exactly the topic that lots of RSguys are searching now, how the fck we can textured principled hair in vertex map source or putting a patterned texture. And I don't know why but since last updates, we can't use the basic RS Hair anymore.. We actually fight on it in a prod

Thanks. But u can use also standart material for hairs if u use tag RedShift Object. At least I use it for tracer. I like this idea to use hair position for gradient.

For a basic hair system the tracer is a viable option but for work requires more complexity it is best to use the C4D hair object. Many hair systems requires dynamics and thousands/millions of strands. The hair shader works differently to other shaders. Physical hair has completely different properties to the standard shader such as Melanin.

Hello, Even if I have the hair renderer on in the settings, the hair will not appear. Does somebody know why? Help is appreciated :)

Try in the Redshift Render View. Update your GPU, make sure you are using the latest version of Redshift. If it is still not working happy to look at your scene files.
