Man I hate how miles has just better animations around the board. Still would wish we were able to choose the animations on the web while holding r2. Games good but after a few minutes of swinging you’ve seen all animations

Your videos are just amazing man, so well edited, voiced, and good vibes. Something I’d love for the third (fourth) game is the ability to customize our “animation load out” so we can tailor the swings to our liking. Sometimes I don’t like certain (base) animations and would like the option to disable them or just view a menu and pick which ones I want. I know that’s a highly unlikely addition but sometimes I think the swinging is just a tad too extra. I liked the very first game in regard to the animations. Some of the new animations I adore though, so I just want that happy medium. Same with parkour. I suggested a new system to insomniac awhile back which i think could be very popular and cool and that is a "style" mode and a "combat" mode. Sometimes when you swing you'll accidentally trigger combat animations since the buttons are the same mapping. Wouldn't it be incredible to maybe have the option to use the d pad to trigger style and combat on the fly? So when you're in style mode, all the buttons correspond to tricks and stuff and when in Combat mode they are fighting buttons. Again both are highly unlikely but i could see this elevating the experience, especially for those of us who want manual parkour. I could see this system being incredible, although its probably a pipe dream

One of the coolest hidden things is that there are other animations changes even if you hold the buttons to keep the same trick.

If u swing out of Miles' indy grab at the right time u can start his backwards swinging animation which is sick and stylish AF Sick vid as always deep Ty for showing the community love 🌻

The problem is that peters air trick come out too slow, if they speed it up similar to miles they would both feel equally smooth to control.

This is true. Im just happy they expanded on the tricks since the first game as they only make the swinging have a bit more flair. Well minor xp boost too. But you're right Miles feels a bit smoother.

Sure. Push the left joystick a second time to start the level 3 trick. It can be the same direction twice. Does this make sense? Practice from high up and slow motion to understand better. If you have HUD on it will tell you the current trick so you’ll know if you did it right.

😅 insomniac’s concept of swinging is broken. The momentum of the swing happens before the web attaches every time. It’s actually super annoying. It should happen the other way.

Its been like that since SM1. You only really notice when you slow it down. Probably a creative decision to keep the flow going but for us detail oriented types we sure notice ;)
