Whenever people say Spiderman 2 and the insomniac Spiderman games don't have the best swinging, show them this. This gets the closest to replicating how Peter and miles would actually be able to swing and how they swing in the movies and comics. That 1st clip in particular was amazing.

I have some issues with it as an old webslinging vet. I personally don't like the gliding because I feel like it takes a lot of skill and decision making out of traversal however I would very lying if I said overall it wasn't the best. It even fixed a lot of issues I had with the first insomniac webswinging. It still doesn't have the double thread webswing you could pull off in the raimi spiderman 2 but very few people knew how to do that and not a lot of games let you do that afterwards. That and the gliding (I mean come on its a spiderman game and most of the free roam videos they glide through half of it. It's not arkham series) basically making traversal way too easy I feel like insomniac nailed it perfectly.

First one really shined with the wrap-around shots, most people love to do as many tricks as possible without any sense of flow or continuity, and it ends up feeling awkward and overly complicated. The first player really understood not only how to get the most out of each acrobatic move from a cinematic perspective, but also understood how Spidey moves. I can't fully explain it, but there's like...a logical flow to how Spidey moves. He's not just constantly tricking in the air, and a lot of the times when it looks like he's tricking, he's actually taking advantage of physics in a particular way to make his routes faster and more efficient. The first player really captured that out of the gate, very impressive.

This is very true. The game gives us many tools to look and feel like Spider-Man and the real skill comes in piecing those tools together in a cohesive way to be seamless and smooth. It’s easier said than done. Some players make it look easy. I see many others spamming tricks and it looks quite janky. Everything should look deliberate if you want to be a true Spider-man. @@yimwee2401 Yeah exactly. Not every phrase needs to be some hyper complicated riff that tests the limits of scale and composition. Sometimes it's ok to sustain a note, or a single chord shape or phrasing, and just let things play out organically instead of trying to force everything.

Normally Spider-Men can swing like crazy and without fear because of their Enhanced Sense and on top of that the Spider-Sense would tell them if they're gonna hit something, so thats the reason they can swing upsidedown backwards with onehand and a foot hanging out.

I'm sorry you were disappointed at some players using the web wings to glide. It's a traversal mechanic in the game so it's to be expected. I think 'flying around the entire map' is a slight exaggeration though. Have a great day!
