Also keep in mind you can jail with stand pokes and even normals and specials that don’t knock you to the ground for example: acid spit or rock wall cetrion in mk11. I wanted to focus on pokes for hit cause those are the most used to take or steal your turn. I hope this video is enough where you can lab “on hit special moves and standing pokes”

I dont understand. Its my first fighting game and im struggling a lot. Im trying to jail my opponent with shao kahn but it doesnt work. I poke the opponent which says 12 frame hit adv. And my standing 1 is 7 frame but my S1 gets blocked every time. Im literally spamming the S1 after the poke but it doesnt jail. I dont know what im doing wrong.

Ahaha nah it doesn’t max range. Most times reiko players want to do d1 to keep you out not take their turn and a lot of times they do it from max range and since his strings are 12-14 hard to jail D4(15 on block)
