Idk if most people will understand just how valuable this wisdom is. It's pure gold and has drastically improved my life.
@busterbaxter8282 жыл бұрын
Well it's not valuable wisdom to everyone because some people have heard it all before. The whole mimetic desires concept has been spoken about long ago - author Luke Burgis kept yapping on about it and wrote a whole book on it, and several decades before that the french philosopher Rene Girard had said a bunch on the topic. Intrinsic vs Extrinsic motivation isn't exactly a new concept either. Value is subjective, you might think this stuff is amazing wisdom now and then 10 years later realize it was all pretty basic stuff.
@RealJamieBarclay2 жыл бұрын
@@busterbaxter828 wisdom is only powerful if you take action with it. Applying this wisdom has directly allowed me to follow something I'm truly passionate about, and also make my first couple of thousand pounds online.
@busterbaxter8282 жыл бұрын
@@RealJamieBarclay Sure and that's all cool to hear but I merely made a point about the wisdom is subjective to different people. I never said anything about how or when it's powerful, but I will say now that it completely depends on the 'wisdom' because not everything needs to have action to be powerful, for instance just having certain understandings of the world can bring one peace

Hey Andrew! I have been following for a couple of years now, and I have been very inspired for your videos. No idea if you will read this but, my life has been greatly impacted by people like you, and although nothing that you really want comes easy, I have the life I always dreamed of. I am not rich, nor did I become a famous rockstar, but I am what I always wanted. Congratulations, and if you ever come to Budapest, I would be happy to pay for a round of beers. Cheers mate.

After defining the goals we have to ask ourselves every single day before sitting down to work is "what is the single most important task that i have to do in order to reach (our particular goal)" I personally have put this question on a sticky note and i always keep it in the centre of my desktop and it has done wonders for me to just focus on what's important and not get overwhelmed by dozens of sundry less important tasks.

To the *worthwhile person* seeing this, your dream is not dead. Don’t allow the past and current pains and hurts stop and define you. You’re more than a conqueror. Rise up and put yourself together. Keep pushing your future depends on it. I wish you all the best in life ❤️.

Another brilliant video, mate - and I couldn't confirm more confidently what you were saying about extrinsic and intrinsic motivation. I have achieved great things with extrinsic motivation but I lack this willpower and discipline to continue them after a while. Just recently I got the opportunity to do things I enjoyed doing which also led trangentally toward my goal - so it was much easier to maintain the discipline to do them because I kind of enjoyed it. If you can find that sweet spot between the thing you're passionate about doing and doing the unrelated stuff you have to do on the road to get there, you're golden.

DUH! haha find your "*flow*" activities where the energy levels are high ... don't feel tired .. time flies ... naturally raise skill levels 💪 .

I have a question: How much did doing the KZbin videos help with all of this? Did it make it easier to stay in line knowing you were accountable to your own creative medium? While it was undoubtably a part of the growing success at least financially. Which is somewhat meta/ironic, No? I’m wondering if the creative endeavor is just a help or is it literally that we have this new tool ( creating self help guidance ) for self accountability?
