It is quite a bit stronger than current build, but you really need to pick the right perks unless you are going to go with the OP(soon to be nerfed) summoned Demon Armor, Bow and Hammer. Imagine light armor that weighs 0.5 lbs in total, gives 1100 armor rating, +50% to both Strength and Agility Weapons, extra carry weight and bonus damage to your thralls, the only thing is it has a 1 hour timer that needs you to keep killing to keep refreshing the timer.

A big plus of these is rebounding after a raid. I'm a long time solo player and usually when you get raided you lose everything because you dont have the same production as a clan. Losing gear is not bad, but losing thralls was very time punitive.

3 Light attacks, hold block, press attack again --- does a super ultra mega finisher and the damage is definitely worth the time spent ... it absolutely wrecks in pvp

If you do a 3 light combo followed by the special attack. It is swift and max damage without having to charge. Little katana secret that does amazing dmg in both pve and pvp.

if you put 20 points from 15 into agility instead of any str points, with this gear and weapon you gain about 10% base damage. There are 4 strikes in a combo. Combo finisher would do 10% less but the first 3 strikes would do 10% more damage each. I haven't tested it in combat but my math says 20 agility > 15 agility + 10 str. This also leads to more points available for expertise which is a better encumbrance attribute. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm theory crafting.

I highly recommend the skelos master cultist set. While medium armor, it gives you a whopping +40% Agility weapon damage bonus. Light armor the best option is full black corsair, also +40%, however if you use the thaumaturgy table to illusion it, you will not be able to dye it.

Each point in agility boost agility weapon dmg by 5%. In short you should drop str to 10 and increase agi to 20 this way each attack get +25% dmg... Ill keep that i One in mind it seems very promising

I actually decided to use the katana weapons as my main in my last playthrough. It was fun....until I got the sinners refuge bug where all the exiles disappeared and was replaced by a single green spider. And I farmed some awsome thralls outta that playthrough. Had to start over.

Head's up - Skelos Cultist Master armor gives an initial 6% Agility weapon (and follower damager) bonus per piece on all pieces. I almost immediately found a recipe off a sorcerer in testlive that teaches how to craft it - interested to see if that benefits from a T4 armorer

Call me boring but I'd love to see how easy or difficult it is to knock out thralls now. For instance in 2.8 (?), I go get Szeth's truncheon and if I get lucky an Advanced Blunt fitting. I do this early, well before level 30. Typically I only have the first perk in strength. Now I own any thrall, "super easy, barely an inconvenience". Is it still that easy in 3.0?

Doesn't the katana do like a thousand or so damage and hit 8 or 10 times if you light attack 3 times and do the unsheath move? Thatd be a combo right? On xbox I was able to kill the spider boss in a minute or so blc of the combo damage it seems like it'd be even better in this new update.

Would this work with a medium armor with reduced weight (-40%). The Skelos Cultist Master seems too good to pass on. 40% agil weapon dmg, 50% follower dmg + good armor.

The light armor is only for reduce weight, because use the 10% penetration perk. You can choose the bow perk or increase the carrying with elixir. I have this build with heavy armor because I use the bow.

i got a question, how does the game know which damage to apply, strength or agility? I don't think it's the weapon, assume the larger in stats would determine it.

Each weapon type primarily scales with either strength or agility. It states in the weapons stats which it scales with. IIRC it’s something like +5 per point in the primary stat and +.5 in the second stat. For example, a katana scales primarily with agility and 20 agility should provide something like 100 extra damage to the weapon.

I don't remember where but my partner got me the Legendary Musashi's Black Blade from one of the boss drops (not a major one, just your average three skulls around the map). It has 60 Damage and 13%AP

You have to have the Orb of Nergal. It's unlocked in Knowledge tab at level 45. It'll be the last hairstyle.

imo katana is the best wep for pve not sure with pvp since i dont play pvp lol.. its outdamage every other wep with the right combo.. sadly without mods there only 2 version so u stuck with iron one until lvl 60

It swings side to side... that alone makes it better then all the other weapons to me lol. So many weapons, virtually all the agility ones as well, have awkward attack animations that let animals roll around them if you're not in a sweet spot.

No, there is no fast cast magic.

About all you can do is memorize the casting stone locations and hit them quickly. Doesn't change the cast time though.

@@papadoom Even then any hit breaks spellcasting so no matter how fast you cycle through unless you have a thrall tanking you won't be casting in combat and the are only maybe two or three spells that could be useful in combat and really only the lightning storm can do any real damage, and it can only be cast outdoors.

Yes, now is better to make a build within thralls. +3 or 4 agility, +4 vitality (glutton for punishment perk), +1 or 2 strenght, +3 grit with katana. Another build is +4 strenght (crushing swings perk), +4 vitality (same perk), +3 grit and one handed axe, my player is inmortal with this build. Take a random follower for mislead bosses if you need heal you. I kill the red mother in 2 minutes with 20% lost health within thrall.

katana is the strongest weapon... even without a build this thing kills everything in its way. Other Weapons should get buffed on katana niveau... btw. you dont show the most deadly combo. 3x left click, hold ctrl until your char sheathe your weapon and press left click again. Most Enemys dont survive this.

@@O-D-X Throwing this out there but; while you're right about ninja's not wielding Katanas (they were farmers mostly using improvised weapons because they didn't have access), the Samurai rarely if ever used their Katana, because it's more of an ornament than an actual weapon. Spears provided longer reach and rifles were often more used.
