I cannot wait for external circumstances to change, I need to change my consciousness, I need to evolve into a Homo Conscious.

Fantastic description of the suffering... I heard the idea of accepting the suffering like 1000 times and finally now I understand it... and accept that it can teach us something. 🙏🙏🙏

TNH describing a transcendent being-in-the-present moment of eating a bean paste cake as a child reminded me of Proust’s “In search of lost time” scene, where Marcel eats a madeleine dipped in lime-blossom tea.

Great points. Comment about healing, and then returning to assist parents, but this can apply to anyone. Sometimes presence is futile because the individual is unable or unwilling to receive. In such a case, absence is the only alternative. Life is the master teacher, able to access the most inaccessible of minds.

When a Bodhisattva says to him or herself, "may the suffering I bear, purify the suffering of all sentient beings". This can have a profound effect to awaken the mind of the bodhichitta, but I wonder, is this a 'conventional' practice or method? Or does this attitude in your mindstream affect the mindstream of the dharmakaya on the whole resulting in 'actually' purifying and helping sentient beings? In other words does it have an effect on the ultimate level or conventional level?

Tired of chasing happiness, never made me really happy when I got IT, ,usually relying on others or objects for it, and then it was onto the next thing, and the next and the next,, like a dog chasing its tail, determined to break this odd behaviour that everybody I know seems not to have a problem with,
