Thanks for this update! and yes, Silo is a very good show, and yes, if you walk around Comic Con with authority you will get places and WHY DIDN'T YOU GET TO HANG OUT WITH ALL OF THE CAST WITH A SPECIAL PASS? I think you should have been aloud to kill for being forgotten! (JK JK) Since no one at all asked. *Warning ⚠ a woman with an opinion.: When I said in a pervious comment/vid: "I forgot about the show. Then, I saw the Lestat Comic Con trailer, found your channel and..." After the strike in 2022 (total support) I didn't so much forget about the show as I was dreading that it was going to get "bad" (*descend into torture porn; glorify violence; not respect Claudia.) You see, I've loved vampires 🧛‍♂(and slaying them) before (and still do despite discovering ONE of their creators is/was a total 💩) So, I didn't want to do it again. But, for some reason(s) after the Lestat trailer (all the wrong SEXY 👩‍🎤reasons) I decided to rewatch and finish season one and go to two. Of course, I'm SO glad I did! And I'm so happy to have found the channel! *⚠This show is the utter opposite of torture porn. It is all about surviving trauma, death, and shows how gaslighting and manipulation can be just as harmful as physical trauma. It DOES show abuse as complicated and how abused can and do become abusers. One can like sexy fictional monsters, and this helps you not want anything to do with real life monsters. People may take that as glorifying abuse rather than showing the harm it does, but those people aren't people I care about.

A filmmaker toast to you crediting the music you use, and to your editing program earning every kilobyte it takes up on the hard drive. A few years ago, I helped shoot and edit a doc. The former was nice since I got to travel and get lots of footage. The latter was terrible since I had to help go through everything AND make sense of it. Had 'Nam flashbacks toward the end of your video imagining what your shoot-to-edit ratio was. When you make your videos, do you have an idea beforehand what you wanna do, or is it a constant stream of additions and subtractions?

@@RathanKrueger oh my god, nail on the head with your assessment! The shoot to edit ratio on this video enormously favored the edit; that’s why it took me so long to finally post a video. The whole trip came together so quickly, I thought up some ideas, but I had never been to any Con before this, much less SDCC, so I had no idea what to expect. Once I got there, I realized the ideas I had weren’t feasible, so I just shot a bunch of stuff and decided I’d come up with a story based on the footage I had once I got home. The idea for the intro I was able to keep, so thankfully I was able to film me walking into the ocean while I was in San Diego, but aside from that, the whole video was constructed and broken apart and reconstructed a hundred more times in the edit haha. Huge props to Davinci Resolve for making a FREE editing program that can handle all of that.

It could also be the worst thing since most people won't know how many gray hairs threatened to pop up 'til you clicked "Export". But that's what the comments are for.
