How does seeing a familiar face make you feel, especially when you are in a vulnerable situation or sick? Family physician Derrick Hoover shares his story as a traveler in challenging situations to help illustrate how difficult daily life is for people who navigate our complicated crisis systems frequently. In Wake County, North Carolina, his team is helping create a reality where human connection and simple treatments earlier on can save lives and money.
