Climbing all 46 High Peaks in the Adirondack Mountains is a journey that sometimes takes a lifetime. For others, it is a goal taken up later in life. For my friend and fellow Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK-NFC) member, he decided to climb all 46 High Peaks in his 60's. He began the journey on Algonquin Peak at 62 and finished his ADK 46er on Mt. Marcy four short years later. This video chronicles Frank's final High Peak climb to become an Adirondack 46er.
Our hike began at the High Peaks Information Center (HPIC) located near Heart Lake and the Adirondack Loj. We passed Marcy Dam en route to New York State's highest point, Mount Marcy at 5,344 feet elevation.
CONGRATULATIONS FRANK! An amazing accomplishment! Thank you for sharing this special moment with me (and now all of KZbin!).
