You CRUSHED those miles! It's so great to see you pushing yourself from a place of joy and pride instead of shame and fear. I mean, I'm sure that fear and shame still crop up, but you're showing them who's boss. It's genuinely inspiring.

watching you rip those sub 5 miles was SO impressive!! it's incredible what our bodies can do with fuel and rest (something I am reminding myself on the daily). thanks for all the running inspiration; it really does have an impact! AND GO OL REIGN! so glad they won :D
@allie_ostrander7 ай бұрын
It's easy to get swept up in the mindset that smaller will be faster, but it's actually so much more nuanced than that. We need to take care of our bodies if we expect them to perform!
@isabellavanwinkle58147 ай бұрын
Wow you're crazy fast! As a fellow runner (albeit a way slower one than you and your superhuman speeds) and woman in recovery from an ED, it means so much to have someone like you constantly acknowledging that you're in a far better place now than before when you were letting the ED rule. You're an inspiration!

Great job! To do three mile repeats under 5 minutes, that is showing that the great strength and endurance you developed from longer distance and countless miles uphill, is translating to some serious speed on the track. Then doing the 300's around 49, after likely dealing with some lactic buildup from the mile repeats....that was strong. You are both strong and fast, and I know you will have a great race at the Olympic trials. Also, that dog food looked better than some of what is leftover at Whole Foods at 8pm! Go Allie!

The end of the steeplechase when it is fast most peoplec look fairly wrecked. It's great your through to the trials, great achievement in of itself and there's definitely another gear there. Do you know when the trials are and can you race between now and then if that would make sense. I know you know the event well but that muscle memory might be useful if the event is competitive enough. Great workout there hope your recovery from that isn't too sore. Recovery is how you grow. Stay hydrated too.
