This video is about how we perceive anything other than Independence as unsexy or unappealing today. A Re-framing mindset on our approach to Independence.

What really sucks, is knowing this information (mostly) and just no questioning why I switch to new goals so often. ADHD perhaps, but trauma from childhood can infect just as well, yes? I am interested in hearing what school of thought this video is from. Seems holistic in approach, but not in the since of what I have seen here in the USA.

It's not easy to implement especially when dealing with something like ADHD. I would say that the relationships to people you have now stem from your relationships from childhood and what attachment style you developed as a result of how you were raised. Trauma definitely would play a role in that imo if it hasn't been addressed. Im no expert here but from the books I've read that's my first impressions. with regards to school of thoughts if you're referring to philosophy, I'm not entirely sure what it relates to most, it's derived from attachment science theory and may resemble some schools of thought but I'd need to look further into that before I give you a full answer. Hope that helps

Humans quite literally have inbuilt mechanisms to punish us for not being social (touch starvation being incredibly harmful, for example). Loneliness was never meant to be the way we live, so the fact that in the current world being completely independent and detached from others is seen as a goal is as ridiculous as it is sad.
