To be fair, the audio from the voice changer sounds pretty decent, and should be fine if you can effectively muffle the sound of your own voice with the dynamat. Also on a Star Wars related note, I was training a new guy at work today, and Star Wars was mentioned. He told me he thinks the prequels are better than the original trilogy. He is dead to me now. :P

+Ginger Turquoise Awesome, another fun sized Kylo!!! :) So I actually haven't yet got the Dynamat, since I've put the BS helmet aside for the time being and have focused my attention to the child sized helmet modification instead. Once I'm through with that helmet, I'll go back to the BS and see what improvements I can make to it. So much work being Kylo, SO MUCH WORK! :P

You could also try to ampify the sound from the voice changer a bit. I will be hard without electronics knowlaged but maybe you know someone that could help.

Don't use Dinomat the off gas it has is really nasty in such a small space. Just use foam, the same kind you use for padding

+1ntegress Once the Dynamat is sealed, leave it to air, it should be ok but insulation foam would probably be easier anyway because it's lighter

Instead of foam alone over the mike you should use fur covering (see Dead-Cats) to cancel wind noise. Too bad you look much more reminicent of Rick Moranis in Spaceballs do to your stature.

Yeah, unfortunately it does. I'll probably end up buying the child's helmet, but I won't modify it as extensively as other people have. I'm useless with bondo and hardeners and that kinda crap XD

The Black series helmet looks well better on you. I bought the same one and had to take the voice changer out completely as my big nose didn't fit in it xD but dammnnnn isnt that basket weave hard to find. I ended up using three different materials for costume.

Awww, well I ended up going with the Rubies helmet (after giving it quite a makeover though)! That basket weave was a pain to find, but I'm super happy with the JJ fabric :D I do believe there will be another batch of it becoming available via Yaya Han at Joann and this batch will already be coated with wax. Supposedly.

As-is, the product isn't so great. But it made a great foundation to create a DIY Kylo helmet ;)
