My lolo once planted watermelons in his backyard. I remember him saying that the spot that touches the ground should be yellow and the tendrils closest to the fruit should be dried and brown. Thats how you know you can havest. 😊

The ocean by your house looks fantastic. Except the "lumot" (the seagrass). I've always found it slimy. Lol. Plus, I have some trauma because in Capiz, when I was a young girl, we were at the beach and I was playing amongst the seagrass and got stung by a jellyfish hiding there! It hurt so much that I instinctively scratched. I didn't know jellyfish venom makes skin much more tender than normal and I ended up looking like I was whipped. Like literally raised welts rising on my arms and legs. And there's a "remedy" to jellyfish stings, which is to have someone pee on it. Which my aunt insisted was real. So two if my cousins peed on me. I don't know if it helped but it was very surreal for me at the time. 😂😂😂 The food on your table looks sooo good. I miss tuna kilawin! With tuba vinegar, which is slightly sweeter than Silver Swan. So yummy. And those big "pasayan" (shrimp) looked delicious as well. That's what I miss in the Ph. Especially my home province of Capiz. When I was young, I took seafood for granted because my aunts shipped literal kilos of fish, shellfish, "lato" seaweed, etc every month from our family fishponds to us in Manila. Now, here in Sg, seafood is pricey as heck. Hope you and Therine enjoy your New Year vacay in Davao. Looking forward to more vlogs! 👍👍👍
