You're truly blessed to be in the Philippines during this time. I miss the Philippines, terribly. I was there my last time in January 2020 and in Tagaytay during the Taal eruption. Being from Alabama, I had to adjust so much, but cry inside every day as my heart is still in the Philippines. American by birth; Filipino by heart.

Something in this video makes it really heartwarming.. Maybe it's you making the place really your home? Or the gang treating each other as family. Kumander Daot looking genuinely happy? An evening stroll with friends, having a cold beer and bbq? Or Juandelukas having mellowed down? :D I laughed out loud with you calling him Boy Munggos. With the pandemic's end still out of sight, you guys are a breath of fresh air. Stay positive and happy Kyle and the Gang.

The way we structure family in Canada has a lot to do with decades of consumerism. We all need our own versions of all the stuff. We need our own cars, homes, tools, and the like. It's meant that the family unit has degraded over time, and we see ourselves as a number of separate, but related families, not a single one. I am married to a Filipina, and the family structure I experience with my Philippines family is completely different than my Canadian family. For me, I prefer it as well. There are things you give up - some privacy, perhaps some independence, but wow, when you need help in any way, everyone is there for you. I love my Canadian family, but I wish it were more like my Filipino family. Just sayin'.

Young kamote leaves salad used to be a very favorite of mine growing up. To prepare: Drop the leaves in rapidly boiling water, long enough to kill any bacteria on them. Drain. Put on a plate and squeeze calamansi juice over the leaves. Add patis and pepper and olive oil to taste. That's it. So delicious. Good to eat with any fried or grilled fish or meat or by itself.
@virginiagallego48053 жыл бұрын
You know Kyle ,you can cook camote in coco milk and brown sugar ,first you peel and sliced and cook it together ,we made it here in Toronto as a desert ,especialy you have fresh coconut and you can used mama rose coco sugar .it’s good .

The foundation of your structure will be sturdy because of the massive holes. I see where your-garage will be. I am just wondering if you are going for a totally cemented structure or half or a nipa one, but it is looking good so far. Living in a compound has its negative and positive effects but if you are using things that are not yours, I rather ask permission first because most of the time that can be the cause of a problem. Thank you and Power On!

Excellent sound track at d intro 👌. Kulas those are massive holes 4 d foundation. My guess is that d structure u r building would be ur house on concrete stilts. The space under would be enough to accommodate 2 to 3 motor vehicles. The upstairs would be ur private space complete with a CR n shower n maybe a small kitchen... wild guess of mine. I'll stay tuned to see what's up lol...

"Close family ties". There are positive and negative effect on that culture. On the negative side, ang ubang membro sa pamilya magsalig, maong ang uban magbagutbot hahah. On the positive side, nindot kaayo para sa mga tigulang. They feel so secured kay daghang apo, bisan saba pero ginaatiman sila. Maong kasagaran sa mga tigulang diha sa Pilipinas layo sa depression bisan simply ra ang ilang kahimtang kay naa ilang pamilya nakapalibot sa ilaha-- Important when you are in the last chapter of your life.
