I recently did a video on bed rail replacement on my Dad's old 87 Chevy Pickup. I was fortunate to have a Neighbor who had a bed rail from an old project he did and was able to scavenge some donor pieces. It didn't turn out as nice as yours but I'm happy with how it turned out considering the zero cost. I do understand the work involved though. Very nice work indeed. Nice video.

THANKS FOR THE VID!!! Humble - like it! Say, what happened to the Vette rebuild that had the bent frame that you show on the start-up screen that you're bouncing on?? Best!!!

That vette was junked, but all the components are going into a '72 race car. There will be videos eventually.

Rust on the bedrails? I thought I had an uncommon issue. Maybe someone needs to repro these pieces.

@@CrankAddict yes sir both sides are bad I have holes the size of baseball’s on mine I cut off my whole quarter panel and got one off a 76 to replace it I ordered another bed side for the passenger side from classic industries 2-25-21 and still haven received it they told me my estimated delivery date is 2050 I wish they just sold the top of the bed rail and the a-pillar you can get them for 67-72 but not 73-75

Kind of a random question but by any chance do you still have that trans am and is it something you'd be willing to let go?
@CrankAddict2 жыл бұрын
If you know what it is then you know its a keeper.

@@CrankAddict Yeah I was pretty sure I knew what you would say. Also is there an email or something for us to reach out to you. I ammlooking to buy my first trans am needed some advice.

@@anikaitbhatt7091 I like the older trans ams myself, which I why I bought the '76 instead of a '77-'78, although I also like the '79 SE and the '81 Recaro pacecar. Rust is the biggest issue. Cars with the Hurst hatches will ALWAYS need floors. The Fisher tops do better. I still can't get those Hurst tops to seal out the rain. My next car will be a '70-73, possibly a base model with TA fenders and maybe a formula hood so I can LS swap it and not worry about originality. I'd like to swap in a Fisher t top roof. I would like to swap my tranny/engine on the '76 but being a 1 in 110 car, it is super rare and I need to minimize the changes I make to it. Decide what you want to do with your new car, and buy accordingly.
