Thanks for taking the time to make this video, as you did excellent in describing the subtle differences between pickup/blazer floor details! You also make the HUGE point of thickness differences, which goes the idea of saving as much of the original metal as possible. REPLACE ONLY WHAT IS NECESSARY -This is key to the structural integrity of these trucks, especially when they switched to the closed cab version in 76, and eliminated the torque boxes. Anyone with a 76 or later knows how soft these become one rust sets in. Thanks for pointing out what ISN'T reproduced, thankfully it would be easy to fabricate. If your able, show some follow up please.

Thank you very much for making this. I bought a roller 1985 K5, and someone had already cut the floor boards and rockers out, so I didn’t know how or in what order to reassemble. First time doing this big of job, so pretty intimidating. This definitely cleared a few things up. Appreciate it!

GL. Brace the door openings or keep the top on so you don't warp the truck.

They need to make a one piece complete floor pan.with the braces. So it would not be a KWILT. WHEN IT'S DONE.

A one pc floor would be nice. And rear quarters!

Did you have success with no bracing in the cab?
@CrankAddict Жыл бұрын
My biggest issue was losing a couple of body mounts and having to get a new set of poly mounts. I had to play around with the polys a lot to get the doors and top to fit right. If you leave the body on the frame, then it shouldn't be a problem doing what I did 1 side at a time. Sorry for the late reply.

No bracing of the cab no problems?

Those torque boxes are 11g steel. The floorplans are NOT the structural element in this design.

From where ever I can get them. My last ones (1/4s) came from Summit Racing, but i've done LMC and CJ's pony parts as well!

Isn't your name is Todd or Adam? Yeah, this isn't exactly a fun process... I have an 85 K5/(10) 🤣 and ordered everything for both side; however! Their diagrams are junk as well as the measurements being a little misleading
