The sure wings kit is intriguing. I wonder if they would show us the CAD drawings for the parachute attachment points and structure enhancements needed to use a ballistic parachute? All the other safety add-ons can be integrated to any kit, I assume. A parachute recovery system though is a serious add-on. You gotta hand it to Cirrus with their training program; “ Pull early, Pull often”. Having a chute requires training to actually use it not just having it there is enough we have learned. Anyway, I love your video series and thank you again for it. The FADEC Viking engine is sweet. I wonder though, if you add up the components listed on SureWings’ site, what is the margin they are charging for aggregating it all? Also, could the surewings kit be applied to the assist build?

I haven't sat down and calculated what the extra cost for them to do it is, but it's probably worth the time savings as they have aggregated everything and all the tubing, wiring, mounts, etc. are all provided together. You could do everything yourself but I think for most people the time savings is worth the premium.

Time lapse is useful? For what? I prefer this style. But to each, his own.

I ran into your videos yesterday and I am intrigued by the idea of building an experimental plane. So far it doesnt seem too complicated. Just time and patience. Once question why did you not put rubber grommets where the fuel line comes out on top?
@SkyFunChannel3 жыл бұрын
No need. The hole around the line is quite large and with the clamp near there it's really solid.

Are the fuel tanks wet wing, or do you get pre-contructed tanks?
@SkyFunChannel2 жыл бұрын
The fuel tanks are wet wing. The wings are all metal with aluminum honeycomb spars.
