A flat white ceiling is a flat white how often is it going to get wet Builders /contractors use contract matts obviously for a cost reason but also so the new plaster/taping etc can dry inside out and not be sealed in Contract emulsions allow it to breath You obviously don’t do new builds so won’t understand how competitive they are and can be won on material cost Been doing em forty year always used these kind of products as dose everybody else (even specified ) False opacity ? It’s either solid or grinning Think you have possibly put to much paint on with your double coating methods which in my opinion is completely unnecessary Get the flat on the market , keep it neutral for easy future maintenance, you can’t leave all them part tins on the job Must a lost 2/3 grands worth of rent prating about No offence

So how long does plaster need to dry when it's only a skim.over plaster board.... It's worrying if they need to be painting it when wet that needs to dry through a painted surface. We all know why those paints are used and it's down to price. When the Candle Man is painting a 4 bed out for £1800.... It says it all. :( So glad I'm not having to do new builds.. just throwing it on, one coat wonder (as who'll know) and away you go. No offense.

Your right Phil, contract matt is for bashers and diyers/bootslammers, not for top end finishes is half million houses 🎉

@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator the moisture is created from the block work behind , not the skim hence contract matt being used and specified for the reason also for ease of snag out and maintenance as colours are shelf and not individual mixes , so can be easily touched up not like vinyl scrubbable types We all have our part to play in the industry somebody has to paint em be it me or the candle man an many others I’ve come across some cracking painters on site who make a perfectly good living of them and are quite happy You don’t need to throw paint on just need the right gear and application

Did the air bubbles pop and leave marks as that what usually happens? That’s usually down to the paint being to thick. What did the air bubbles do?

instead of trying to get your mug in the shot, take the camera to the work, so you have the camera focused on the ceiling, we dont have to see your face the whole time ;-)
