My father grew up in the depression, he would buy for others, but not himself. He was on a list at Kmart because he’d return stuff my Mom purchased for him or that he bought for himself. I’ve got a pair of shoes that were his. They’re at least 40 yrs old yes. He re-soled them annually. Sigh I miss him so much

I know your dad was excited!!!! He's such a trooper and I know he probably wishes he could share it with his wife. My mom has been gone since 2017 and my dad is lonely. He's 90 and has been getting rid of everything so when he's gone we don't have to worry about stuff. My happy your dad is embracing the change and loving it. Love these types of videos!!!
