As it's getting colder here in the UK I thought it was time to start wearing socks again. What a shock I got when I opened my sock draw, there in different sections were thick tights, thin tights, popsocks, thick socks and thin socks and all colour coded. I was so shocked at how neat and organised it was I spent a few minutes just looking and feeling very proud. I had completely forgotten I had done this when we were in the bedroom zone. Thank you Diane, my house is step by step getting organised and clean and it is all down to you. Thank you.

Busted. I missed more than two days in a row of routines. However, I give myself grace because a close friend passed away less than a week ago. I have felt so sad. My life is already complicated. Then adding grief has been overwhelming. But there can be peace in routines, yes? I can do this!!! Thanks for the encouragement! I love your cheer at the end.

Thanks to your routines, I clear up the kitchen nightly and that task makes a big difference when preparing my coffee and first meal. ❤ RAH! ❤ RAH! ❤ RAH! ❤ The START TIME box was the most impacted for me because I had started my evening routine later and later with the later daylight hours, but I would still hot that wall of fatigue at the same time. When I feel ready to sleep, I need to stop in the middle of what I am doing, brush my teeth and go to bed. Otherwise my body starts into a waking up cycle that results in insomnia. Starting my evening routine early enough to fit in a hot pamper bath makes me even more ready to sleep. I feel like I am making a healthy adjustment preparing for shortening daylight hours and enjoying the pamper rewards. It feels very odd to be getting up before sunrise already because our weather has been about 15 degrees F warmer than usual, and it is so tempting to linger with friends over a glass of wine, a beach fire and a moonrise.The cool weather will come soon enough and I will be more tempted to snuggle with a blanket and a book after a pamper bath. For me, the pamper rewards are more motivating than the completed routine. And I can now clearly see that my WHY is all about getting a good night of sleep for physical and mental health and happiness. ❤😴❤👍❤😴❤👍❤😴❤👍❤😴❤👍❤😴❤👍❤😴zzzzzzzzzz...

For your white boots; a nurse taught this trick to me when my girls were babies. If you use white polish (to take care of your new paint) always use waxed paper to finish up after brushing...it adds a bit of shine, but also gives the shoes an extra coat of protection. Just crumple the paper and rub thoroughly.

We are coming upon fall in California and it’s going to be in the 100’s next week I try to focus on the good but I get so drained by this heat and then the windows are all closed in and blinds shut to keep the cool inside and sun out. I reset my whole life a few years ago using your advice on routines and getting things done. I’m moving internationally in a few months and am not sure how to navigate that process, unpacking in a new house and somehow managing to maintain/develop routines to suit my new lifestyle without losing the peace of mind my current routines give me. I don’t know if anyone else is in a similar boat, but if they are I’d love to see a video about resetting routines in a new environment

Thanks Diane for the reminders. I feel much better when I get my routines done. While the cleaning in my bedroom gets done I am not so great at parting with clothes even though some items haven't been worn for so long. I enjoyed wearing an outfit today that hasn't been worn since this time last year. I know why . It is because they take a few minutes longer to iron than most of my clothes. As I was visiting a government office I wanted to look smart and business like. It boosts my confidence. Some clothes though are really not worth holding on to , are they

Hi Diane...I have a couple of questions that I've searched out the answer to in your previous videos but couldn't find. When zone cleaning, how do you decide what to do each week? Do you just go down the list, or make a plan for the week? Also, how do you keep up with what you've already done...do you mark on your pages? I'm having a hard time keeping up with what I've already done, as well as deciding what to do from my list when I get to a new zone, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for always being such a wonderful source of encouragement! 💜

Hello, Diane! I have not written in a while but wanted to say that I am still going strong with routines and decluttering since discovering your channel in early 2017. And I remember back then telling you that c l o t h e s swap parties were basically unheard of here and you said to start my own. Well I kept procrastinating about that but recently saw that a friend of mine from church had decided to host one. I couldn't believe it! It might be the start of something popular here in the states ! I also understand about the clothing being the right color or maybe even pattern but maybe the fabrication is not right or vice versa. One of my declutter items this week is a navy blue and white flower printed blouse. Yet, because I like things loose and flowy, it doesn't suit me because it is more rigid in the Design Line. Plus the fabric is kind of rough and scratchy so the fabrication feels off to me. I kept telling myself I would keep it because navy blue does look good on me. Plus, the pattern is a ditzy print which is small which would be connected and I need it to be connected because I don't look good in b o l d contrast. But while this blouse fits in color and pattern, the design line and Fabrication just doesn't quite work...it needs to be more flowy and soft. It really is amazing how those factors make a difference isn't it?( It took me several years to finally get this dyt down and embrace it ~I'm a type t w o secondary one. Oh, and your saying is a great one! It's what we say at church, "You can miss one Sunday... but don't miss two!" Meaning, we want to stay grounded in f a i t h! Wishing you a beautiful and blessed tuesday!
@eileencarroll64182 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your insights. I a have revised my wardrobe several times for color and pattern (3/1), and I am just starting to edit according to fit, silhouette and the way the fabric hangs. This phase seems to be helping me look more youthful in spirit and more in harmony with my energy profile. And my OOTD choices are starting to make me feel like doing more. I am starting to crave more museum trips and concerts. And I feel really good on grocery and hardware store trips too. I really appreciate your observations because they help me recognize some of the nuances in my own journey.
