As a librarian, it surprises me when people say they want to simplify their lives yet they continue to purchase books that they will only read once. Especially since libraries have so many on-line options for content! I, too, have trouble reading text for long periods of time, due to long-COVID. Audio-books are the way to go for me, too!😊

Thank you for your video Diane. When my Dad passed away I was exactly the same. I love reading but initially, after he passed, I couldn't concentrate on books at all. I tried short stories and magazines as an alternative to books but I just couldn't focus. Audiobooks were brilliant as I was able to hear the story without having to concentrate on the words on the page ❤ 📚

RIchard Osman's Thursday Murder club books were great! After you had shown one that your were reading on your video a while ago, I borrowed them from my library and loved each one. I was sorry to hear that the series ended. Some good news is that Netflix turning the book into a movie this year with Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, among others. Yay! When I moved into my house a couple of months ago, there was absolutely no way that I was gonna be sitting down for an hour or so every day to read. Audiobooks are great and sometimes add so much to a book because the voice actors are so fantastic.
